Tales Of The Unspoken
Well, day by day, the bands around the entire world and in all genres and all Metal styles that you can think of are really trying to create something extremely personal. This is a way to become a great name on Metal, because the copycat clones from the 80s have nothing to offer that isn't already done (and in better ways, mind you). And Portugal, a land where good bands are generated, shows again its potential, now with TALES OF THE UNSPOKEN and their second album, "CO2".
Their music is a experimental form of Thrash Groove Metal with some aspects of Gothenburg Melodic Death Metal bands. More than these words can't be said, it's a matter of hearing to understand what they are about. Their music is abrasive, thunderous, aggressive, but having a good and melodic atmosphere, creating something very personal, and coherent.
In terms of sound quality, we can say that it's something really good, even for a band of an independent label. It's really clear, in a way we can understand every musical arrangement of the tracks, but as well is heavy and abrasive as their music needs. Besides it's not perfect, it's very, very good ."Burned Alive" with its fine guitar arrangements (using aggressive tunes and very good melodies, along with contrasting between harsh and clean voices), "I, Claudius" and its aggressive tempos and technical rhythmic kitchen (bass guitar and drums are played with good doses of weight and a heavy technique), "Taken" (very good, abrasive and technical broken tempos), and "Broken Hope" (a more brutal and aggressive song, but be prepared for a very good technical insight used on it) can be
named as their best moments, but all the album is very good.
The last thing that I have to say is: ótimo trabalho, irmãos de além mar.<
