Well, in the middle of this Metalcore invasion we are living for some years, there are very good names appearing, but some are really boring, doing nothing new or special. OK, Big Daddy here recognizes that is somewhat difficult to be different. But this not an excuse. And besides some can think in a different way, I truly didn't see something special on North American band BLEED THE SKY. And this reissue of their first album, "Paradigm Of Entropy" can be a good album, but nothing really great.

Yes, I already know that this album was released by the first time on 2005, the beginning of the whole Metalcore invasion. But even this way, using some elements from New Metal, there are a bit boring. There's only a worked music with tons of aggressiveness, some melodies and strong technical insight. But only this, and nothing more. And for "nothing more", you must understand that I couldn't see something special, that same feature that makes a band worthy of a listening. The sound quality is good, in the way a Metalcore band must have: clear and heavy. It's dense, abrasive and done with tons of heavy weight, but too clear, to the point you can understand what these guys are playing.

It's not bad at all. I state that BLEED THE SKY is a good band, but lacks of a personal sonority, a thing that we hear and recognize them immediately. Songs like "Minion" (with some good vocals, using clean and harsh tunes in contrast), "Paradigm in Entropy" (aggressive and fast, presenting good technique on drums), and "Division" (with T. J. Frost and Joe Cafarella of STEEM as guests) show a good potential, but it really lacks of a personality. Even on 2005, when giants KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SHADOWS FALL and AS I LAY DYING were fully active, this album could be noted.

I really didn't heard the album that followed "Paradigm In Entropy" (2008's "Murder the Dance"), but if it went on this way, the band really had reasons for being since then to be distant from a new release...
