Exhumed - Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998-2015 album cover

Well, when torture and all sickness and rotting things became a matter of lyrics into Death Metal (or Gore Metal, Splatter Death Metal or other name you can find), some fans turned their faces always. Of course, the music is what really matters, and this aspect, some bands tried a lot to turn it as sick as their lyrics. The works of the writer John Carpenter, magazines like "Tales from the Crypt" and films like "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" are the main influence from those sick bastards who created this kind of music. And with the North American band EXHUMED, it gained another level of absurdity, abusing of the insanity and created some classics for the style. And here, on "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998-2015", is not an exception.

For those who don't know the band, they are veterans, doing this sickening music since 1990, puking blood and pus under us all in an extreme way of Death Metal, but with some good technique, with guttural and harsh vocals, insane guitars (greatly influenced by SLAYER in their most aggressive moments), very good rhythmic session (to hold the things up, the bassist and the drummer must be very good in their instruments). It's insane, sickening, odious, and for that all, very good. And this album, in reality, is a re-recorded version of the 1998's album "Gore Metal". But it as sick and infamous as it was back then.

This new sound quality makes this album sound way better than before, with all instruments in their due places. There's no reason for a Splatter Death Metal band sound bad and dirty. And this quality put the album in a good level of quality, but not to the point to turn the music accessible. Not them. And there are some guests here:  the backup vocal "Slay Team" of Alejandro Corredor and Dr. Philthy.

And prepare your ears (and stomach) for their 12 songs, being the best ones "Open the Abscess", "Enucleation", "Casketkrusher", and "Vagitarian II". But be sure to not read their lyrics, if you have a weak stomach.

A very good album, but as I finish these lines, I have to run to my bathroom to puke my entrails out!
