WIND ROSE is a Symphonic Power Metal band from Pisa in Italy, was formed in 2009 and in 2010 released an EP under the production of Cristiano Bertocchi (ex-Labyrinth, ex-Vision Divine). In 2012 released their first full-length "Shadows Over Lothadruin" and new album "Wardens Of The West Wind" will be out on 3^rd February 2015.

The whole album is killer. Nice opener "Where Dawn and Shadows Begin" is great introduction to the whole album. I love "Age of Conquest" where trumpets are meeting flute and Melodic Viking, Folk Metal and Power Metal with big dose of Symphony. Amazing sound chorus with choir in style of hymn, anthem a'la warrior. Very nice melodic track with clear vocals, amazing drums, strong guitars, impressive keys, massive sounds and Symphonic echoes, intricate progressions and nice mix of styles. This melodic epic refrain remind me of bands like MANOWAR, DRAGON FORCE, RHAPSODY OF FIRE or DERDIAN.

Meaty guitars riffs, which I love, could you dig in ground in "The Breed of Durin". Gentle keys, Symphonic influences and Folkish elements with clear rhythmic section and deep, strong vocals and choirs put this song on a high level. I like also so much the warlike atmosphere in "Skull and Crossbones" where trumpets mix Symphony atmosphere and majestic, epic overtones. The way this band meshes moods is incredible.

"The Slave and the Empire" is a great Symphony opener to the perfect "Spartacus" where heavy riffs mix Symphony sounds, violins and melody with power and even sound of organs. Gentle guitar opens "Heavenly Minds" but during whole track massive sounds of drums, Symphonic trumpets and heavier riffs, with a melodic and memorable chorus.. Worth to mention is that in this track are brilliant guitars which is easy on the listener's ears! What a perfect solo and on the background are massive riffs.

I really like "Rebel and Free" where Viking Metal mixing with Folk Metal, Power Metal and guitars in Heavy Metal style and interesting is also "Born in the Cradle of Storms" with lower, heavier,guitars and piano (little JORN echoes) and energetic sounds together with Symphonic influences.

"Wardens Of The West Wind" is a totally amazing album! Energy & unbelievable power beats from every piece of sound. You have here heavy bloody guitar riffs, huge rhythmic section, Symphonic, Folk and Viking elements, much melody and perfection singing. This is one of these albums which you want still listen and comeback to it again and again. Surely every Symphonic Power Metal lover will be fan of their sounds. Melodies and heavy sound makes this CD fantastic in every every way! Sincere recommend work of these Italian Metallers!
