Drone
Drone
This band kicks asses!
Yes, DRONE comes from Germany, and their music is a strong, powerful and very aggressive (but technical and melodic) modern Thrash Metal, with some touches from modern bands of Metalcore in the vocals (due the use of clean and melodic voices here and there, in the middle of the brutal harsh vocals). And their new album, "Drone", is as harsh as perfect some can conceive.
As Big Daddy said above, they play a modern and aggressive way of making Thrash Metal, but with some more melodic elements, as we hear in vocals and in some moments from guitars. But their music is not merely aggressive, but has lots of good technique and intelligent arrangements. So be prepared to see your ears bleeding and falling to the floor. Harsh vocals with some more melodic tunes sometimes, guitars with abusive and strong riffs (and very good solos, with tons of melodies)
A very good sound production was done for this album, because we can hear all instruments arrangements and musical elements without great difficulties, but as well, their music is truly powerful, and have a thunderous impact, the same that can make your house walls trembles!
This is a very charming and hooking album, perfect to have neck aches, but an album that have "Guilt", "The Reason", the excellent and perfect "Into Darkness" (with aggressive riffs, great bass playing and extreme vocals, but with hooking refrain), the ballad "Hung and Over" (an acoustic ballad like this in a so aggressive album is an act of courage, and they dare to do so and have a great result!), and the blast of power called "Rock'n'Rollercoaster". But I have to say: the album is excellent as a whole.
Perfect, just that!
