If you want to make a name for yourself in the Rock n' Roll genre these days, you must have a unique, instantly recognizable sound and something they call the "it" factor. But you must also be able to write great songs that an audience will get up and move to. CROWSAW, a three-man bluesy, straightforward rock n' roll band, display the potential to become one of those bands. With the release of their 10 song debut album, "Smoke and Feathers", they proves that their days of playing cover songs are coming to an end and they should have a bright future playing their own brand of music for years to come.

Hailing from the UK and just recently formed in 2012, CROWSAW are comprised of Rob Lomax (Guitars & Vocals), Elvin Robinson (Drums) and Glyn Mason (Bass & Backing Vocals). Originally formed as a cover band, this trio plays the bluesy, hard rock style of music that is making a strong comeback, and slowly but surely, gaining ground on the other hard rock sub-categories. Their sound is reminiscent of the sounds made popular by KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD, ERIC GALES, and JONNY LANG, and recently, bands like BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, JOE BONAMASSA, and RIVAL SONS, among others, have flourished. The music industry desperately needs of a healthy dose of this style of rock music to fill the void left by the commercialism brought on by reality television and teen age social media fanatics voting "Idols" to the top of the charts.

It's a tough task to gain traction on this slippery musical slope called the music industry, but with the release of  "Smoke and Feathers", CROWSAW have made a statement that they are willing to give it hell. Still rough around the edges and having a raw garage band feel to their music, all they need now is time. They are by no means a "finished product" but have laid a solid, concrete foundation to build upon and, as proven on their debut album, have a lot of talent to work with. Although this album is not an instant masterpiece, it does deliver a good dose of blues infused rock n' roll that should satisfy the appetite of blues-rock fans everywhere.
