Ouroboros
Yatrogeny
Mexico lands is very known for having a lot of Metal maniacs, so we can expect great things from their Metal bands, as ACRANIA and, of course, YATROGENY, an expert in doing a Melodic and technical Black Metal, and their fourth album, "Ouroboros", is a strong and bold piece of extreme Metal.
It's like you can mix some aspects of YNGWIE MALMSTEEN work with brutal and extreme Metal, so you can expect great music from them, having three different vocalists on the album, each one of them having his way of singing, and the riffs are so strong and solos are very technical, bass and drums follow the more well-worked aspect, and the keyboards are a fine wine above this tasteful album.
"Ouroboros" was born on a golden cradle, having a good sound production, so you can hear all instruments and arrangements in a fine shape. Obviously it could be better, but it's very good here, pulsing with energy, melody and aggressiveness.
It's an excellent album, having nine great songs, with the best ones being "Noumenon" (hear the good keyboards arrangements and guitars), the technical and brutal "Silent Calvary" (my goodness, what fine drums and guitar solos!), the wonderful "The Myth of Sisyphus", "Xochimicqueh" and the version for GATES OF ISHTAR's "Forever Scarred".
