HellTherapy
Eridanus
This is an amazing band. Here in Brazil, the South region of our country gave birth to a lot of great bands, especially Rio Grande do Sul, from where come bands like KRISIUN, HIBRIA, REBAELLIUN, and now, new names are coming, like the brutal HATE HANDLES, and now, it's time for quintet ERIDANUS show what they got with their first coming, the full length "HellTherapy".
The quintet lives in a mid-term between old traditional Heavy Metal and the modern aspects of the style, with lots of great melodies and chorus, so we can assume that exists some influences from classic Hard Rock on their music. And let me say something: how it's good. The vocals are really great, a mix of influences of Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson and Michael Kiske, strong and bold guitars (great riffs, and melodic and charming solos), bass and drums forming a strong and heavy rhythmic kitchen. Get this all along: it's an excellent piece of heavy music.
The sounding is perfect, a fine job done by Roger Fingle at Nitro studio (he oversaw the recording, mixing and mastering), a studious of sounding engineering, so it well done, strong and clean at the very same time, with a touch of elegance. And the cover is a fine piece of art, let's say the truth.
Their best moments: the abrasive and thunderous "HellTherapy" (with a mid tempo showing good bass and drums work), "Fell in Lust" (what wonderful guitars, remind something of old IRON MAIDEN), the wonderful hit "Set It on Fire" (music from promotional video, a Hard N' Heavy that turns into an addiction with only one audition, with strong chorus and great vocals), and the well worked "Wind".
The band still has a long way to go, and needs more experience in some aspects, but we hope they'll have a great future waiting.
Those who live will see it!
