Suspended In Reverie
Julio Stotz
Oh, my goodness! This is good!
Besides the entire EP is instrumental work, JÚLIO STOTZ created a very good music in this 4-track EP, "Suspended in Reverie".
It's not so heavy music. The EP has a calm and soft approach, except when the guitars appear, but the heavy use of piano sound (it's keyboard, obviously, but if you're Ol' Big Daddy here don't say, some wrong ideas can arise), and it seems that even the drums are programmed. But it's not a trouble at all. It's like a fusion of Metal and some Progressive aspects, so it's charming and full of changes.
A good sound production (there some tunes on drums a bit louder, but it's not a great trouble), all clear and all fine, so the music flows in a very spontaneous way.
The four songs are fine, some more aggressive as "Dreamlike Perceptions" and "From a Restive Slumber" (even this song having a wonderful keyboard work), the midterm "Essence of Thought", and "An Der Elbe", a beautiful song all done in keyboards.
A real piece of good music, but after hearing "Suspended in Reverie", I want more and more, so, Júlio, next time an album would be great!
