Eternal Silence Of These Infinite Spaces
ESOTIS
Well, it's a good and charming album from Atmospheric Black Metal, indeed.
"Eternal Silence of These Infinite Spaces" seems to be a first coming from ESOTIS, a German one man band. But even being so, the album is really good. The band's music is more elegant and melodic than the greater part of the other ones from the style, giving great importance to keyboards work, with guitars sounding in a more earlier SWOBM way, bass and drums are covered by keyboards and guitars, and some screams comes from the depths of nowhere. But it's good and will satisfy fan from bands like PAZUZU and SUMMONNING.
The sound production is harsh, in a more SWOBM way, respecting all the aspects of their form of sounding, so, the guitars are low sometimes (below a bed of keyboards), as well as bass and drums sound are somewhat occulted (but you can feel their presence for the weight their music has). And it's a pity, for ESOTIS music is too good.
The best songs: the excellent "Holy Void", the darkened beauty called "A Blaze of Darkness" (the keyboards and guitar work are very good here, giving a more introspective insight to the track), "Those Hills Above an Endless Millennial Forest" and "Abyssal Vertigo" (a keyboard instrumental).
Correcting the sound production and putting more vocals and guitars on their tracks, they'll conquer legions of fans for sure.
