Impious Sacrilege
Verminous
If you're looking for something to ease your pain for not knowing earlier Swedish Death Metal, VERMINOUS, coming from those iced lands, is for you.
This insane trio is in the most traditional vein from this kind of music, and the reissue of 2003's "Impious Sacrilege", with some bonus material, comes in good time.
The trio don't present anything new in terms of music, but it's pulsing with life, with their eyes full of blood and will to create a simple way of Death Metal, remembering the works from DISMEMBER, CARNAGE, UNLEASHED, ENTOMBED. They're from the same country, or if you permit me to say, from the same school, but we can feel a little influence from AUTOPSY. Harsh, raw and direct, no small talk.
The sound production was done in the way that the band can sound in a RAR (raw and rot) way, but not to make their musical work incomprehensible, but aggressive and heavy. The artwork is the same from 2003. As I said above, their work is simple and nothing new, but is good, as "Spawn of Satan's Curse" (a fast and brutal vomit on your ears, with great riffs), "Malevolent Effacement" (some great moments from the drums here), the extreme and harsh "Salvation by Extermination", "Rapt in Malignity", and the bonus ones: the total fucking version for "Charred Remains" from AUTOPSY, and the live versions for "Spawn of Satan's Curse" and "Salvation by Extermination", both record at Killtown Fest, in 01/09/2012.
Prepare to burn your brains, bleed your eyes and rip out your ears.
