Shtack - Shtack album cover

Pay or Flee! It's good to see and hear new tendencies arising every day, but to be honest, I never thought that I would hear some band trying to speak of pirates in their music after RUNNING WILD or Brazilian BARBARIA, but SHTACK really came to make us all perplex with their musical and lyrical features, for "Shtack", their first album, is a good surprise.

Mixing Melodic Death Metal with some non-conventional instruments, they got a personal way of doing Metal, sounding like a more harsh and aggressive KORPIKLAANI or FINNTROLL. And it's very good!

Guttural voices and clean ones mixing in the very same songs, good guitar riffs, bass and drums having to work a lot, to make the basis heavy and strong, but to adjust to a few folk parts (or pirate ones, if you prefer).

A very good sound production awaits us all, a fruit of an extreme hard work, for they're an independent band, and you'll hear all instruments sounding clearly and never overlapping the others. The cover is a good one, indeed, showing their lyrical content.

Their finest moments: "Jolly Roger" (hear the power of the drums), the funny "Pirate Metal" (the keyboards are fine here, as the vocals are too), the more aggressive "Rock the Brazillian" (with great riffs and good solo, but I warn you guys: if it's some joke with my birth country, you'll walk the plank), the wonderful "Satésaus", and the fine piece of "Captain Iglo".

Get ready for boarding, guys, for it's a fine work!
