EAT THE GUN presents "Stripped to the Bone" which is a brand new album, I wasn't convinced at all by the album published in 2009 under the title "Super Pursuit Mode Aggressive Thrash Distortion" but since the recent signing of this German band with the legendary SPV / Steamhammer Records label roster, certainly I had some high hopes and a few expectations enhanced by some good feedbacks that I had from some friends.

The first track "At the End of the Day" starts with a fine Heavy Rock mood and the first sonic impression aspect is positive with a very intense, no frills riffage, raw, straight and down to basics,  therefore an easy listening style, yet simple but fun and finally it's the same comment for the closing song "Small Dose of Death".

However, my main concern, it's that in between, the quality goes downhill seriously, ok, the style isn't my cup of tea, I love more reflection in my Music, here it's clearly stripped & spontaneous, even minimalist in the song-writing method, without any ambition, conclusively limited and something clearly ordinary or perhaps average at best ("Won't Let You Down ").

The boredom is at its peak with "Apocalyptic Blues" or their single "Opener" with the quite obvious Alternative smudges that are quite repulsive for me, their attempts to sounds more Classic Rock aren't bad but not either good or really solid  ("Made of Stone" or "Wake Me Up"), in fact it's a very uninteresting album with a musical content that it's only equaled by the poor quality of the awful cover artwork.
