My favorite Spanish metallers (along with SOULITUDE) released their ninth opus of Symphonic Power Metal, the genre that has been enchanting me the most and that I've always over-glorified. It is also their sixth in Alfred Romero's era i.e. since the departure of Elisa Martin, and if I shall compare it to its predecessors, I'd say it's the most heavily-orchestrated and the catchiest they've ever made.

The breathtaking orchestral intro "Ars Musica" kind of sums up the theatrical aspect of the album, and also promises some awesome material. The following track "The First Lance Of Spain" just proves this right, with an overwhelming catchiness, the melodies enhanced by the epic heavy orchestrations and Romero's warm and hearty voice. "It Is My Way" is slightly more vigorously and cheerful still marking a great vocal performance and  the band's outstanding mastery of this style, which is quite distinct and exceptional. Tracks like "The Road Again" and "Together As Ever" are somewhat more down-to-earth than the rest and there's something about "The City Of Peace" that reminded me of KAMELOT. "Gara And Jonay", starting with "only you..." instantly had me thinking about Alessandro Safina's "Luna", which was covered by Luca Turilli's RHAPSODY on "Ascending To Infinity" (notoriously my favorite album of 2012). Here we can also hear more choirs and a nice piano interlude. After this last soft track, "Living In A Nightmare" kick in very forcefully demonstrating a great versatility in the vocals and an awesome use of the choirs and the classical orchestral elements. "El Ultimo Rey" is obviously the first song in one of the most sonorous languages that I know and there's a bit of RHAPSODY in it as well,  much to my auditory  enjoyment. The next track "St James Way" is nearly in the same vein of the second one, and I liked how Romero adds a typically-Spanish touch to his voice. More neoclassical elements are present in "Spanish Suite(Asturias)", an instrumental piece originally performed by Isaac Albéniz, with a heavier orchestral sounds and  a very sultry guitar sound. Finally, we are able to enjoy an acoustic version of "The Road Again" and a heavenly orchestral version of "Living In A Nightmare".

Being myself a big fan of this style of Metal, I'm fell in love with this album, and I guess it would be at least ear-pleasing for anyone due to its incredible catchiness. Don't miss it!
