Cardinals Folly - Strange Conflicts Of The Past album cover

The first thing that went through my mind when I heard I was going to review CARDINALS FOLLY's "Strange Conflicts Of The Past" was, why does a band that only started in 2008 need to release a compilation album? I thought that when I listened to the album my question would somehow be answered, but, unfortunately, this did not happened, it only aggravated and I got myself asking "why in the hell does such a mediocre band exists?"

The fault for the band's awful sound lies solely on the shoulders of the vocalist, his voice is so terrible I can't quite say what the hell is wrong with it, it actually reminded me of Lou Reed's "vocals" on METALLICA / Lou Reed's Lulu.

It was painful as hell to actually sit through "Strange Conflicts Of The Past" and I had to force myself not to turn it off and put on some real Doom Metal
