Singer, guitarist, songwriter, and musical performer Dan Lucas became known to a wide television audience when he won the first season of the casting show "The Voice of Germany – Senior," enchanting the jury with a fantastic version of the Journey classic "Don't Stop Believin'" and John Farnham's "You're The Voice." But Dan Lucas has been around for much longer, remembered for being part of the rock band Karo.As a solo artist Dan Lucas have released solo albums with Marlboro Music in the 90's which include "Canada" in 1992,"2000!" in 1994 and "News" in 1996.His last solo effort released in 2021 through Pride & Joy Music "The Long Road",now five years on his second solo album for Pride & Joy "Age Is Just A Number" he is back with 11 tracks to prove he can still captivate his audience with his expressive voice.

The album starts with a guitar driven,upbeat paced track with prominent keys throughout "An Angel" is a strong start with strong vocals and strong chorus."Age Is Just A Number" is a track of  reflection,reminiscing,also growing older,the vocal delivery is strong,it's passionate and has that relatability factor."Losing Myself" has bright keyboard work, a track which has that nostalgic 80's anthemic driven chorus,which would easily fit on a film soundtrack.This album has solid guitar work throughout, "Never Wanna Say Goodbye" is a perfect example with the strong riffs which run throughout this track,along with the solid rhythm delivers a track with modern edge."JP'S Bar" is another song of reflection,which tells of great memories,great nights gone by with some great lyrics and song writing,"The World Is Broken" is a more dramatic,hard hitting number which addresses current world issues, Dan delivers another stellar vocal full of power,emotion & sincerity,"Lost In The Shadows" is another track which hits you with the same feelings both vocally and also with the strong melodies,guitar work and strong chorus."True Love" the penultimate track is an acoustic lead ballad which fits in with the context of the album."Life Is A Kind Of Rock N' Roll" is a feel good rock n' roll party feast to end this album, guaranteed to your feet tapping, your head going and singing along, leaving you with a big smile on your face.

"Age Is Just A Number" is an album which delivers on all fronts,.It has a great collection of tracks which have relatable issues, delivered by a passionate Dan Lucas who wears his heart on his sleeve with some superb examples of song writing backed by a group of great musicians.An exceptionally good album from start to finish.
