Xtasy were formed in 2011 in Navarra,Spain and have worked for over a decade building a strong international following across Europe and also in Japan through consistent album releases.Their debut album "Revolution" was released in 2014 which was mixed and mastered by Erik Martensson (Eclipse),this was followed by 25 shows opening for bands such as Dare,Eclipse and Helix.Follow up albums "Second Chance" in 2017,"Eye Of The Storm" in 2020 once again with Martensson doing the mixing and mastering honours again. The pandemic thwarted the "Eye Of The Storm Tour" which eventually went ahead 2021 to 2023 with the final night of tour recorded and released on cd/dvd in October 2023.Now 2026 brings "Phoenix" their fourth studio album which again was mixed and mastered by Martensson at his Mass Destruction Studios in Solleron,Sweden.

The album kicks off  strong with the Symphonic "Too Late", the keys are prominent in the mix from the beginning, new band members David Zarzosa (bass) and Javi Herrero (drums) provide a strong rhythm section along with a strong vocal and some great guitars make this a strong start to this album."Can't Get Enough" is an upbeat, full on energy track with some superb guitar work from Olloqui and Salse, with strong vocals which soar from Silvia."If I Fall" has a heavier feel thanks to the stellar guitar work from the Jorge and Carles, again solid rhythm work which combines to deliver a trailblazing metal track, the track which follows "Good Enough" is another strong, heavy track with more of a pop style chorus which Xtasy manage to balance the two very well, making another solid track."We Live And Die For Rock N' Roll" says it all in the title,a track which is anthemic in every meaning of the word,a definite scandi-rock sound with maybe a bit Martensson's influence surely? "No One Like You" is another strong european metal style track which flows along seamlessly. The momentum carries through to the next track " Time We Won't Forget" ,a huge wall of sound with more high quality production."Carry On" is has fast tempo,it's got a great symphonic edge with a speed metal style melody and believe you me you cannot sit still listening to this loud! "Save Me" has some gorgeous keyboard touches, with more strong vocals and more amazing guitars."One Heart One Fire" brings this album to a close in thrilling style; the rhythm has a dynamic edge, the guitars blazing, with another crystal clear strong vocal from Silvia.

"Phoenix" is an album of great quality, every track stands out, there is no weak link,it's a trailblazer from beginning to end.The new band additions seem to have brought  this new dynamics to Xtasy which has evolved their sound which has found them in new territories. The production is phenomenal and that long lasting partnership between Xstasy & Erik Martensson just goes from strength to strength. This is an album that comes with a high recommendation its a must buy this year.
