Catch the Endless Dawn
Temptress

As many Old School Heavy Metal acts are achieving commercial praise from fans, it’s not a coincidence that many bands on the genre are arising and coming with releases on the genre. It’s clear that BURNING WITCHES, ENFORCER, COBRA SPELL and others are causing such shockwaves, and a result, many bands are trying their luck. One of them is the Italian trio TEMPTRESS with “Catch the Endless Dawn”. The idea behind the sonority is simple: to have a classic and organic outfit as in the 80s, and sometimes, they sound as things were recorded in the most organic form possible, but keeping the band’s music weight.
It’s defined and aggressive, but they deserve something even better, as usual for the bands named above. It’s good, but they deserve better. The trench of Old School Heavy Metal that the trio is inside is that one influenced by US Metal from the first half of the 80s, with very good catching melodies and choruses, but with weight as well. But something of NWOBHM can be heard as well (as the melodic weight heard on “Woman in the Dark”). The songs are really very good, but they have enough potential to create something even better in the future as they mature a bit more (just a bit).
Melodic vocals, charming guitar riffs (with excellent melodic riffs, strong and heavy work on bass guitar and drums are the elements heard on “Beneath the Waves of Fantasia/Breathe the Dust of Time”, “Dream Metal”, “Woman of the Dark”, “Catch the Endless Dawn”, “Awake the Enchanter”, “Fears like Towers”, “Nightflight over Dreamland” (a very good instrumental song that shows their technique) and “She’s Cold” in a way that’s not possible to just watch and hear. You’ll be headbanging savagely as the songs play on, so be prepared.
TEMPTRESS is really a promising name from the Italian Old School Metal scene, and “Catch the Endless Dawn” deserves to be heard and enjoyed, and at the loudest volume possible.
