Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls! The glam is back! Big time! If you missed the glam rock, straight from the 80s and early 90s, you might want to listen to "Never Was An Angel".

In this album You can hear a combination of the greatest Glam Metal bands ever: MOTLEY CRUE,DEF LEPPARD,KISS,VAN HALEN,BAD COMPANY, KID ROW, GUNS AND ROSES, ALICE IN CHAINS, WHITESNAKE, a bit of AEROSMITH and a lot of Glam!

The greatest thing about Glam Metal albums is that you can do whatever you want with the lyrics, with the rhythms, as long as it sounds cool and rough. And I can honestly say that MURDER BAY managed to create it and make all Glam Metal fans to listen and just have a good time. As I was listening to "Never Was An Angel" I had this strange urge to get up from my chair and dance like no one sees.

Now the technical part of my review: The vocals were as a Glam Metal vocals should be: A fine vocal range, the lead vocalist's roughness takes a big role in almost every song, even in the ballads which is rare and made me identify with it even more. Instrumental, you'd expect to find a structure of: Part A, Chorus, Part B, Chorus, an awesome guitar solo and again a chorus. Unfortunately, I find it a little bit boring and predictable. If I wanted to listen to the old style of Glam Metal I would listen to KISS, or MOTLEY CRUE. But because this is an old band I didn't expect something else like thinking outside the box to try some new and unpredictable structure for their tracks. Their last track "Song?" Reflects the idea behind this album: "This song got no point". But who needs a point in a great Glam Metal album, anyway?

In conclusion, MURDER BAY has managed to bring the old school Glam Metal roughness and fun to the table especially from the vocal parts. So if you know what's good for you, you'd listen to "Never Was An Angel". I grantee you'll have a good time.
