Rush Of Power

Steel Inferno

If you are able to stand or sit still while you are listening to “Rush Of Power” you are either dead on your way there. I don’t care if you like this kind of Speed Metal or not, this will get your juices flowing and your body moving.

STEEL INFERNO is a Danish Speed Metal band from Copenhagen that had its formation in 2012. Since then, the quintet released three studio albums, “Aesthetics Of Decay” in 2016, “…And The Earth Stood Still” in 2020 and “Evil Reign” in 2022. And now it is time for their fourth assault on our Metal senses. They have named it “Rush Of Power”. Their style is quite straight forward; if you love the first two albums of AGENT STEEL you can buy these albums without any hesitance. This is fast and furious and it will embed itself into your Speed Metal part of the brain without any problems. It baffles me that I haven’t heard any of their product before, as I really do like a good bit of Old-Fashioned Speed Metal.

STEEL INFERNO doesn’t have John Cyriis as a vocalist, which is a pity, but I have to say that Chris Rostoff does hold his own quite easily. He only became part of the band in 2020, but has made his contributions really worthwhile, if what I now hear is anything to go by. It makes the music and the voice gel together quite successfully. If you are able to stand or sit still while you are listening to “Rush Of Power” you are either dead on your way there. I don’t care if you like this kind of Speed Metal or not, this will get your juices flowing and your body moving. It might just be your foot tapping or your head bobbing, but STEEL INFERNO has an insane amount of energy and certainly aren’t afraid on letting it loose unto an unsuspecting world.

If I am so positive about everything so far, why isn’t the rating I am awarding “Rush Of Power” any higher than it is? Well, that is quite simple also. Even though I love everything the band is doing, and I love the music as well as the atmosphere that STEEL INFERNO is creating, I am missing those songs that stand out and make you take notice. Every song is quite okay, but not exceptional. On the other hand, neither of the tracks on “Rush Of Power” below par either. You do get a constant level of quality, and if Speed Metal is your thing, I am quite sure that you will adore everything on the album. Then again, you will already be very aware of STEEL INFERNO as a band.
