LAMB OF GOD stormed through The Criterion in Oklahoma City with THE ACACIA STRAIN and FROZEN SOUL on August, 21, 2023 and they showed no mercy throughout the night. A LAMB OF GOD show is something to behold and their openers added the heaviness to the night. This was one of a handful of headlining shows the the metal legends did amidst their tour with PANTERA across the U.S.

Hailing from Texas, show openers FROZEN SOUL are beginning to make a name for themselves in the world of death metal and there's a reason their opening for the likes of LAMB OF GOD. This band is heavy and no holds barred, but they have a soft, compassionate side. Vocalist Chad Green recounted losing his brother and called on the audience to check on the mental health of their loved ones. "This room right here, it's a fucking family," he said.

Direct support THE ACACIA STRAIN is a deathcore band that needs no introduction to those who are longtime fans of the genre. They've been tearing it up since 2001 and they continue to do so to this day. They don't hold back. Period. Their most recent albums "Step Into the Light" and "Failure Will Follow" were released in May 2023, a few months before this tour began, and they had every reason to go hard for their new music and arouse support for the double release. They're a big name in their own right, so it made complete sense to see them on this tour.

Seeing LAMB OF GOD live is unlike anything else. They are without a doubt one of the best live metal bands and their energy is unbelievable. Whether you see them in an arena or a mid-size venue like The Criterion, LAMB OF GOD is going to put on a show like no other. They continue to push the limits and put out incredible, heavy albums and give everything they have on stage. Witnessing vocalist Randy Blythe stomp around on stage and do his signature high jump is a must for any fan of heavy music, but the fact he is backed by such amazing musicians as guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, and bassist John Campbell, and drummer Art Cruz — it's like watching heavy metal history be made.
