The idea of WINTER'S EDGE started back in 2009 where Guitarist Jeremy Lawler (Signed By None, Aggrothesis) wanted to try to develop his skills as a musician by wanting to become a solo artist. It wasn't till 2013 where Jeremy could make this possible and start to properly move things forward by working with signed and unsigned musicians from around the globe.
By gathering many guest musicians together The Ferryman's Eyes album was born on September 2014 and received great reviews worldwide from various reviewers like Metal Temple, Firebrand, voicefmradio , Vendetta Metal Magazine, progmetalzone and many more.

Following this success a tour band was formed featuring guest musicians from the album like Charlotte Jones, Dave Hartley (Emersis) and Dominic Upton (Everlust). Winter's Edge toured with Thunder And Lightning (Berlin) on a UK tour in March 2015. After a successful tour Winter's Edge officially became a band and not long after this in May 2015 The Deceivers EP was released featuring even more guest musicians and again received great reviews from various magazines and online reviewers.

Guest musicians like Andrea Martongelli (Ex-Power Quest, Arthemis) and Claudeous Creamer (Possessed, Dragonlord) were featured on The Deceivers EP. Winter's Edge continued to perform live shows alongside bands like Kobra & The Lotus, Kaine, Control The Storm, Dakesis, Winter Storm and many more till Jan 2017. In Jan 2017 Winter's Edge officially went into hiatus till September of this year confirming that another album is in the works for a summer release in 2018. It has been announced that The Guardians Of Our Time Album Pt.1 will be released on the 17th of August 2018 along with PT.2 to follow around November time 2018.
Biography of album:
The guardians of our time pt.1 is a fictional concept album following from the previous two albums about The Ferryman, "The Ferryman's Eyes and The Deceivers". It's the first album to feature less guest musicians but more original band members of the band than the previous two albums. This Album focus's on life and death within universes, gods, goddesses, space and of course the Ferryman seeing the final showdown between two forces at the end of it all.
The guardians of our time has been over three years in the making and the most challenging album so far as a band, not only just with the ideas but the musical direction has evolved along with adding in surprises for the fans.
