My experience with their record label is more often than not they are good at recruiting Black Metal bands who are different than their peers, as well as ones who embrace melody. There were moments of both on the album, but they just didn’t extend long enough to make a lasting impression.

Belore – Eastern Tales

This was a fantastic album that pushed symphonic elements as well as aggressiveness and melody. Each was like an ingredient in a soup, that comes together in the end tasting smooth and velvety. It’s heavy enough for Black Metal fans, and melodic enough for those who enjoy that side of music.

This wasn’t bad necessarily, but it was patterned by the FWOBM, so it wasn’t very diverse. It was a fairly middle of the road Black Metal release for me.
