Jon Pyres - (Threads of Fate)
April 16, 2022
THREADS OF FATE
is a studio project composed of three very active musicians. They all play in other bands and on other projects, but come together here for something incredibly moving. This is an album that has the feel of a movie score/soundtrack. The music and lyrics create images and scenes in the mind. The orchestration and keyboards and guitars are all there to create the mood for the lyrics, which in turn supports the soundscape. This record is hauntingly beautiful.

Astrid Klara Mjøen - (Confidential)
April 13, 2022
It won't be the first time, nor the last, when a music album is its creator's personal journey. However, every album is different, stories might be parallel, yet different, life's aspects change from person to person. The Norwegian songwriter, and singer, Astrid Klara Mjøen, unveiled her past experience through a new band, Confidential, which released its debut album, "Devil Inside". The measure of intensity of the story, an emotional endeavour, is highly felt with each passing song. Steinmetal had a good talk with Astrid about how this venture came to be, diving into the album, and its creative process.
interview
Nick Chambers - (Knight & Gallow)
April 13, 2022
The inspiration coming out of the Fantasy world doesn't have to have a direct contact with reality, nor should it serve as mainly as a means to escape one's harsh surroundings. It can remain what it meant to be in the first place, another means of people to find a comfort zone, a place where they can be themselves, without being questioned. Nick Chambers, vocalist and guitarist, of the newcomer band, Knight & Gallow, expressed his mighty interest into the worlds beyond, far into imagination, and made it a basis for his band, and its debut album, "For Honor And Bloodshed". Steinmetal had to dive into Chambers' world in order to understand the pattern of making an epic Heavy Metal album nowadays.

interview
Dirk Weiss - (Warpath)
April 12, 2022
To question, or to doubt, is not be willing to take everything as it is, but rather coarse and challenge what is considered to be a version of a truth. When there someone dictating what should be, it is only natural that even a minority would have enough vigor, and guts, to call upon for a different opinion. The next stage of the German Thrash / Death Metal band, Warpath, was sent recently with "Disharmonic Revelations". Steinmetal had a good chat with the veteran vocalist, Dirk Weiss, about how he perceives the album's world, along with opinions of the current state of affairs.

Bob Katsionis - (Stray Gods)
April 9, 2022
It was only a test, but a test that didn't go wrong, or right, a new foundation was created. It started out of merely fandom, and became a prospect of what could be a promising future. Stray Gods was born. Venturing through the history of Iron Maiden, taking the greatest elements of the British giant's music, in their golden years, the essence of Stray Gods was forged and energized. Bob Katsionis, an initiator of plenty of projects, collaborated with great musicians for the release of the band's debut album, "Storm The Walls". Steinmetal had a good talk with Katsionis about how this craze started and what the future holds
interview
Chris Kappas - (Achelous)
April 9, 2022
Even if there is the thin line between our reality and fantasy stories, not everything has to be in parallel, it can also be just for the thrill of it and nothing more. The vast majority of the members of the Greek Heavy Metal band, Achelous, are die-hard fans of what surrounds the world of D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) and its counterparts. The vision of the band was to cover events of the characters, legends, local history and everything that is closer. Releasing their debut album, "The Icewind Chronicles", the experience might indicate of a colder night's air, yet with the burning heart of its creators. Steinmetal had a good talk with the band's vocalist, Chris Kappas, about the new album, the stories and more…
