Mike Thompson - (Withered)
August 1, 2021
So many questions and very much less answers, a lot of aspects of life that can provoke a person's mind until even the verge of insanity. Time what is Time? Mourning or celebrate the loss of time, one day one is a boy and the next day and older man. At times, people aren't really taking into account that their lives are simply flowing by, even in our constant survival in order to be somebody throughout our lives or mainly take care of our loved ones. Passing through time, and its traumas of loss, there is the American Withered, led by Mike Thompson. Hailing with their next album, "Verloren", Steinmetal and Thompson convened in order to discuss spiritual matters and of course massiveness of the music.

Jan Leščanec & Grega Stalowsky - (SkyEye)
July 31, 2021
It takes the right timing, the opportunity, a little bit of lack but a whole lot of ability, in order to cross a threshold into the next level. The competition within the Metal market has always been extensive, so many bands, so many wishing to taste what a musical career feels like, even on a smaller scale. In a way, the Slovenian Heavy Metal band, SkyEye, had the same story with their last year's appearance as part of the European Festival Alliance, which also included their local Metaldays Festival. That performance led to their next stage in development, which continued with a new album, "Soldiers Of Light", and a record deal. Steinmetal had to find out more about the new starlet, its new release and more.

interview
Mårten Hansen - (This Ending)
July 26, 2021
Egoism might get one killed, as if this phrase matches the curiosity that killed the cat. Actually, it is not the same, as the former is the harsher reality and could eventually lead into a gloomier future that mankind might never come back from. It starts with the people, the ones that aren't willing to let go of their own interests. And when these folks have the power, it might mean doom for the surrounding rest. The coming back to action band, This Ending, made it clear that the danger is evident, it is there to consume us if measures wouldn't be taken into the account. With the release of "Needles Of Rust", Steinmetal had a good talk with Mårten Hansen, as the latter told the story of the album, his own vision of society and his inspirations.
