Mayhemic - Toba
October 1, 2024
In
"Toba," MAYHEMIC
have crafted something exceptional—a brutal yet introspective journey through the darkest corners of human existence, ancient cataclysms, and the merciless forces of nature. From the visceral brutality of
"Kollarbone Crushed Neanderthal"
to the masterpiece of intensity in
"Triumph Portrait"
, this album is a testament to the band’s ability to evolve while staying true to their unrelenting sound. Each track is a glimpse into a world torn apart by violence and cosmic forces, making a monumental achievement in the realm of blackened thrash metal.

Infrared – Manifestation
September 30, 2024
INFRARED deliver altogether a good Thrash Metal album with a sound driven by good Thrash Metal riffing, cool lead guitar solos, and crushing basslines

Moral Putrefaction - Moral Putrefaction
September 30, 2024
All in all,
MORAL PUTREFACTION
’s self-titled debut is very strong and it will be interesting to see what the band comes up with next. Fans of cold-as-a-grave death metal will find much here to enjoy but it’s dynamic enough to align with a lot of different tastes.

Sepulchre by the Sea - Seven Chambers
September 30, 2024
While “
Seven Chambers
,” certainly isn’t a bad album, it is one that I just couldn’t find a firm grasp to hold on to. There is plenty of talent here and someone else may enjoy it far more than me. I look forward to their next album, despite my misgivings on this one.
review
Alkymist – UnnDerr
September 30, 2024
This album was as deadly as it was full of filth…the kind that you get covered in and it never washes out. It is indicative of a new wave of Progressive Doom, pushing the boundaries both deeper and wider, and it also an album that you won’t soon forget.

Moss Upon The Skull – Quest for the Secret Fire
September 28, 2024
This was a pleasing album with an uncommon sound, something out of bounds but not too far. What impressed me most was the way that the band controlled an album which seemed so loose at times. This was indeed an outerworldly listening experience.

Sadness – your prefect hands and my repeated words
September 27, 2024
What’s remarkable about the album is that even when the music slows down or explores more pensive themes, it never loses sight of the brighter horizon. The band’s name, SADNESS, feels almost ironic, as the album consistently brings a sense of optimism. It’s a reminder that sadness is just one aspect of the human experience and that, ultimately, the album leans into positivity and hopefulness. Throughout, the sound invites listeners to reflect, but never to despair—making the experience as inspiring as it is soothing.

Curse Upon A Prayer – The Worship: Orthoprax Satanism
September 25, 2024
This was a dreadfully evil and somber album that heightened both the despair of life with the anger of life…two things that if crashed together might indeed be a curse that you can never escape.
review
Lethal Technology – Mechanical Era
September 25, 2024
Both of the singers are great, and the contrast between their styles is well done. The band is also talented, and considering this is their debut effort on a record label, that is an accomplishment in and of itself. Some areas of critique, however, include the sudden and sharp transitions in and out of the competing passages, and making a stronger synergy on the songs. This comes as the band spends more time together and learns each other’s tendencies, and their willingness to explore.

Mork Gryning – Fasomas Tid
September 24, 2024
“Fasomas Tid” is a genre-bending album that stays in the Extreme category, effortlessly mixing the best of what that has to offer fans, but also throws in some surprises in the form of clean vocals and even some melody. The result is an album that is very well rounded.

Mystical Death - Carnation (EP)
September 24, 2024
The atmosphere on “Carnation” is very much a contemporary one, with good structures, good sound and very inspiring songs.
review
Mister Misery – Mister Misery
September 24, 2024
MISTER MISERY is not making it easy on us reviewers, as they are bouncing around with their music, going from rather fast and groovy down to slow and moody, and everything in between. What does work a treat is that all four of the members can sing, so switching style and/or intensity is not a problem for them.

Mages Terror - Damnations Sight
September 24, 2024
This rocks, this rips, this shreds, but most important of all, this moves. It moves me, it moves my brain, it moves my feet and it even moves my head.

Against Evil - Give ‘Em Hell
September 24, 2024
Musically it is quite clear that AGAINST EVIL is getting their inspiration from the greats of old, like JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, MEGADETH, but most of all early ACCEPT. That is what is says in the bio, and if you listen carefully the first and the last one of the names are most relevant.

Wolves’ Winter – Medivm
September 23, 2024
My experience with their record label is more often than not they are good at recruiting Black Metal bands who are different than their peers, as well as ones who embrace melody. There were moments of both on the album, but they just didn’t extend long enough to make a lasting impression.
