Tame & Conquer
Attractive Chaos
ATTRACTIVE CHAOS deliver an excellent melodic Metal EP. “Tame & Conquer” consolidates the melodic Metal style of the band but with more diversity allowing different influences and styles entering their music
Dark Superstition
Gatecreeper
“Dark Superstition” is a mixture of traditional Swedish Death Metal, melodic Death Metal, and Gothic and Doom Metal elements
Cut In Ice- Revisited
Tommy Denander
Revisiting the past.
Gamma
Ascent
The album survived a bit of a lackluster opener, and as it rolled forward, its many nuances came out of its shell. The best part of the album for me was their strong musicianship, and I found myself intrigued with it. I am looking forward to what the band can do next, because they have the necessary foundations.
Electric Omega
Silver Horses
Good soft hard rock.
Tower of High Sorcery
Achelous

Violenta
Fabulae Dramatis
Overall, this was an excellent album. It was full of emotional peaks, created by the yin and yang of the ebb and flow of the various vocals styles, and musical shifts. The band is very talented as well, and they use that talent to create an exciting album that is full of mystery and darkness.
Rise
Holy Mother
In just over 40 minutes HOLY MOTHER have impressed me more than I would have thought possible.
Circles
Vicolo Inferno
VICOLO INFERNO. That last word got me hoping that the music of this band would have some oomph to it, a certain kind of eargerness and a sharp edge that would have me sitting on the edge of my seat, whilst tapping my foot and banging my head. Even when I found out that the band is a pure melodic Rock/Metal combo I had hopes of a very positive outcome of this review.
The Dystopian Chronicles Vol. 1
Warhog
WARHOG hail from Dallas in Texas, USA, and make a brand of Heavy Metal that includes a lot of Groove. And it is a combination that is quite feasible, very much trendy at the moment.
Embers
God is an Astronaut
One definition of “embers” is “slowly dying or fading emotions, memories, ideas, or responses still capable of being revived,” and I believe that definition is met with the music on the album. I have always maintained that instrumental albums are harder to digest for the average listener, but if you let the combination of various emotions on the album in, you will feel their beauty, no matter how sad it is at times.
My Years with UFO
Michael Schenker
And Michael Schenker is back, and this is one of the best releases of this ear!!! BUY IT AT ANY COST!!!!

Stagazer
Crypt of Reason
This cross between Doom and Death Metal was good, but could have been a bit better with just a bit more dynamism and shifting sounds. I like the use of synths here and there, but they could have had a stronger presence, augmenting the sound more. If you are into Doom and/or Death Metal, I would recommend this.
The Grand Seduction
Keys
Keys are an all keyboard band which is the brainchild of singer Jake E (Cyhra, […]
Under the Shadow of a Foreign Sun
Piah Mater
There is a lot of depth as well as many things to explore on the album. Their musicianship is excellent, and they put a lot of thought into the songwriting. I feel like they are only one or two big melodies away from a breakthrough album however, and I look forward to what they can do next.
Visions
Mooch
Light your joint.
Sanctuary Of Death
Vhäldemar
The Spanish Power/Heavy Metal spearheads are back with such great release!
Blood in the Sky
Mythologik

Six Nights Beyond the Serpents Threshold
Kerasfóra
For those who miss Atmospheric Black Metal of the 90s, this release will satisfy you for sure.
Years of Chains
Dune
And storming from the sands of the deserts comes this charming release.

We Are God
Tsatthoggua
The album cover is fantastic, with vivid hues of red. However, that might be the best part of the album as a whole. The band isn’t without talent, as I mentioned, but they just rely too much on a similar sound from song to song.
Reminiscence
Date Back To Dawn
Fresh out of Tokyo Japan, this band blends so much to formulate their take on melodic hardcore!
Age of Chaos
Rotten UK
ROTTEN UK. They must really hate the UK, although they themselves are from Rochester. No, not the one in Kent, England, but the one in New York, USA. Does that shine through in the music on offer on “Age Of Chaos”? No, it doesn't, it could just as easy been from anywhere in the world, but most likely the UK. It's hard, heavy, uncopmpromising and ruthless.
In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust
Illdisposed
I can mention is that once you have the music entering your ears either through your headphones or the open air, you will be able to immediately distinguish which band you are listening to. Is that a bad thing? Not at all, as a lot of bands would love to be recognised at first tone.
The Determinism Of Essence In Matter
Forever Falling
This was an excellent album, full of doomsday prophecies and about as much pain and suffering that you could expect to put someone through and not end them. With each passing note, the feelings deepen, until total body and mind numbness is all that is left.
Netherworlds
Stillborn
Seven years on from their reformation, Stillborn once again provide their adoring fans a set of material ready to infiltrate their souls on a demonic level
Underground Forever
Duskwalker
Even if you are from a nation that's well known for being generally nice, it doesn't mean that you cannot be brutal to people's ears. Canadian outfit Duskwalker force feed you heavy metal with their new album "Underground Forever".
Al Aqrab
Al-Namrood
All in all,
AL-NAMROOD
’s “
Al Aqrab
” is something different from most of what I’ve jammed this year and it was a welcomed, and enjoyable, change of scenery for me.
Revenant
CAINITES
CAINITES’s “Revenant” is an interesting melodic death album across it’s storytelling, atmospheric, presentation, and music. I actually haven’t heard a lot of melodic death albums this year outside of a few key bands but this is one of the better ones I’ve come across in this second half of 2024.
The Final Sermon (Live in Japan)
Metal Church
Listening to “The Final Sermon (Live in Japan)” it feels like no time has passed since those Mike Howe days and those albums. A fitting tribute to a legendary vocalist.
New Babylon
Kayleth
KAYLETH’s “New Babylon” is a great story and a great album. Now I just wish it was a movie, a video game, and an RPG too.
