Their high level of musicianship and uncompromising energy is probably the best part of the album. Although 13 songs overstay their welcome a bit in my opinion, they did keep the energy up and used grooves at times to vary their sound. They clearly have talent, so watch out for this quartet in the future.

One of the tenants of Progressive music is that it expands existing stylistic boundaries associated with specific genres of music. This album definitely fits that definition. It borders on pretentious at times, but what saves it is the band’s obvious affinity for expressing themselves openly. A couple of the songs are unnecessarily long, and there is a lot to unwind, but there is a lot to like here on the quartet’s debut album.

This was a fantastic album. For me, the best part of the album was listening to the complex compositions and their impeccable musicianship. Although the music is sophisticated, it is also very easy to listen to.

The entire album was best at creating suspense, and unleashing it, with murderous potency. Although Elise’s vocals seem innocuous at times, and even beguiling, they will lure you in with charm and a smile, before the poison sets in and takes hold.

This was a solid album that I believe will appeal to Metalheads who crave that deep punch and power of Metal, but it also offers some melody within the beatings, for those who need a seasoning of that with their musical palate. The entire affair was both dark and energizing.
