Azketem
Azketem
The best part about the album for me is the doom and gloom, and it is easy for the listener to get lost within. As you move towards the shadows, it is so gradual that you don’t even notice losing little bits of yourself along the way until you become one with them, and there is no going back.
obsYdian
Soulbound
Many of the song are short, but very intense, and the album has a whole is smooth, polished, and has very clear production value. Obsidian is noted for its exceptionally smooth characteristics, such that one could even use it as a mirror, and that is what album quips. It’s a catchy album that is also hardened enough for Metal fans to love.

A Thousand and One Nights – Chapter One
Letallis
I liked the album, and would definitely be interested in hearing more of the tale…Chapter Two if you will. Jake is an accomplished musician and singer, and his effort are reflected in the album.
Abhorrence
Cognitive
Blasting into 2024 with their latest album “Abhorrence” which promises a bone-shattering technical death metal fused with deathcore
Dunkelglod
Dimbild
Not my cup of tea.
Haunted Dreams
Meifu
“Haunted Dreams” is steeped in Eastern flourishes, served up with a fat side of metaphysics and healthy main of Psych Doom. A hearty fare, this one.
Rapture
Anette Olzon
ANETTE OLZON. “Rapture.” Just a shit ton of inspiration, this album. Check it out and fall in love with Symphonic Metal all over again.
Time II
Wintersun
Every superlative one can think of can be accurately used to describe the album. It intermixes a sense of grandeur with intimate emotional layers, and the listening experience is vast and transcendent. Time can be defined as “the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole,” a concept that is difficult to grasp in its totality. That is what the album represents to me, something that is boundless and enduring.

Challenge The Wind
Rhapsody Of Fire
RHAPSODY IN FIRE deliver symphonic Power Metal at its best with epic melodies and bombastic orchestral arrangements
Of Frost, Of Flame, Of Flesh
Crocell
From Denmark comes an intense sound that is attesting to their well-established and unshakable dedication and skill with raw intensity that is to be expected from these guys.
Agony
Endless Chain
This is an album about the exploration of yourself. The heavier, weighted tones reflect the darkness that we all have inside, while the delicate, catchy tones represent the innocence and beauty of life. The fact of the matter is that neither can exist without the other…one of the great paradoxes of human life. At its core, the album was truly captivating.
Litanies of the Unceasing Agonies
Altar of Gore
From Jersey comes the stench of blackened death with a heavy thick sludge undertone that coat the overall rawness of slam death riffs and brutality of brutal death.
Stained Glass
Dichro
If I heard this voice in a forest, I would follow it without question and something horrible somewhere would kill me.
God Slayer
Vredehammer
Consider the fact that this music was composed and performed by one person, and consider his unusual and intelligent approach to songwriting. Next, consider the way he flawlessly combines several genres of Metal. Last, consider that all of this is wrapped up into a sound that can blast through you windows at break-neck speed and leave your home smoldering from the flames, and that is exactly what makes it such a vital album.
Coma
Gaerea
This was a fantastic album, combining traditional Black Metal elements with tones of sadness and despair. Subtle melody lines run throughout the album, adding depth and contrast to the intense and atmospheric sound, while the theme of hope hangs in the balance. GAEREA are back and ready to conquer the world.
Blindness
Paradise In Flames
PARADISE IN FLAMES not only broke the mold of convention, they also broke all of the plates in the cupboards and burned down the house. I feel like a took a ride through Hell on a motor vehicle that moves faster than the speed of sound. I was tossed and turned in every direction but somehow I made it through in the end. That is how carefully they crafted this album, each note in its perfect place, and the musicianship was outstanding.

Glacier
It’s the deep contrast on the album that makes it as good as it is. Oppressive moments and tempered with lighter ones and the two hang in a balance that is very difficult to disrupt.
Mare
Anael
The album is an amalgam of a few different styles, and smarty doesn’t commit to one over another. The one constant theme however is darkness, and it’s almost alive in the album, taking the form that you can see and relate to at times, and other times, it remains a constant looming force that you can’t see. It was refreshing to hear the band’s uncommon take on the genre.
Sala
Kati Rán
It could be that her native language is responsible for much of the mystery on the album, or it could be the music itself. I feel it is both, working together as well as they do to bring subtlety and secrecy to the album.
Psychobulb
Transonic Science
Heavy but not inspired.
Death from the North
Nightside
I am pleased with that the band has to offer after 23 years of silence. This album holds many of the original tenants of Black Metal in high regard, and although there are also some solemn moments of melody, it’s a traditional offering to their fans.
Spreading the Wings of Hope
Golgotha
One really can’t expect a band who has been around as long as GOLGATHA to completely change their approach to songwriting, so what you hear is about what you expect. It’s an excellent album, steep in the traditions of the Doom genre with a few nice surprises along the way, and it proves that the band still has a lot to offer fans.
Fátum
Damnation
Exploding out of Hungary, this supergroup of putrid death is disgusting in all the right ways and will leave you wanting more!
Devourer of All
Nyrak
What strikes me most about the album is the sheer amount of sounds they are able to pack into each composition. What is sprung when the dam breaks is pure anger, hate, and blackness. Each note is cleverly placed however, and the interplay between Black Metal aggression and melodic, symphonic elements is noteworthy.
