…By The Shadows …
Trelldom
The album is dark, a place where melodies twist and turn through corridors of haunting echoes and sudden, sharp dissonance, creating a wall of sound that is both crushing and exhilarating. Vocals emerge from the depths like tortured whispers, and rhythms pulse erratically, at times lulling you into a trance-like state. There’s a feeling that something is always lurking just out of sight, something that haunts the spaces between the sounds. It’s like being trapped in a fevered dream that teeters on the brink of nightmare, compelling you to keep listening, even as it pulls you deeper into its embrace.
Omnipotence
Between The Killings
A second installment to the depravity of a killer expressed with sheer brutality
Omegon
Wormed
WORMED does such a great job at expressing an epic sci fi saga that is rooted in technical brutal death, but they are so much more than this. There are just so many layers to the complexities of WORMED than just mere brutal death metal.
In Bloom
Waste
Exploding out of Minneapolis to put MN deathcore on the map with a hybridisation of nu metal and metalcore that bleeds into their heavy sound of deathcore.
Ethos
Firtan – Ethos
This album is a visceral journey into the depths of despair, an exploration that resonates with cavernous soundscapes and primal aggression. The tortured screams that echo throughout feel like cries from the abyss, each one pulling you deeper into the dark undercurrents of the music. The songwriting is intricate, weaving deep webs of melody and dissonance. This is an album that doesn’t just play—it engulfs, overwhelms, and leaves you feeling as though you’ve experienced something raw and profoundly unsettling.
Get Ready For The Storm
Dread Ogre
DREAD OGRE
's “
Get Ready For The Storm
” is a solid album that balances doom and traditional metal in a modern package that honors the old school in the best ways.
Morgoth
SOLSTITIUM
All in all,
SOLSTITIUM
's “
Morgoth
” is a solid debut album that shows a band with unlimited potential. Their balance between heavy and light elements, while keeping it catchy and emotional, is impressive.
Radical Man
The Lord Weird Slough Feg
SLOUGH FEG in the 1990’s was the fermentation of the underground Metal scene, and the “Radical Man” compilation is the high-octane distilled product, bottled and sealed for your listening pleasure.
Sarajah
Sarajah
“Sarajah” is 37 minutes and 40 seconds of down-tuned, slow groove Doom. It has no pretense, no avant-garde ambitions, just dark stories told to dark music.
White Tower
Downcross
All in all Downcross’ “White Tower,” is one hell of a black metal album that has so much going for it through an incredible, enriched sound that doesn't take away anything from the genre's abrasive, underground sound yet the band makes it sound expansive in all the right ways.
Written By The Devil
AMEN CORNER
All in all AMEN CORNER’s “Written By The Devil,” is a horror drenched occult extravaganza takes a different path for it’s brand of black metal than a lot of modern bands do. But it's old school worship is crafted with a lot of obvious love for the scene without sounding like a repeating of the past.
After the Storm
Marche Funebre
Overall, this was a fantastic album from start to finish, and the deep, expansive tones of hatred and despair trade off fluidly throughout. Attractive melodies intertwine within the caves beneath the earth, and you find yourself sinking more with each passing note.
Tame & Conquer
Attractive Chaos
ATTRACTIVE CHAOS deliver an excellent melodic Metal EP. “Tame & Conquer” consolidates the melodic Metal style of the band but with more diversity allowing different influences and styles entering their music
Dark Superstition
Gatecreeper
“Dark Superstition” is a mixture of traditional Swedish Death Metal, melodic Death Metal, and Gothic and Doom Metal elements
Cut In Ice- Revisited
Tommy Denander
Revisiting the past.
Gamma
Ascent
The album survived a bit of a lackluster opener, and as it rolled forward, its many nuances came out of its shell. The best part of the album for me was their strong musicianship, and I found myself intrigued with it. I am looking forward to what the band can do next, because they have the necessary foundations.
Electric Omega

Violenta
Fabulae Dramatis
Overall, this was an excellent album. It was full of emotional peaks, created by the yin and yang of the ebb and flow of the various vocals styles, and musical shifts. The band is very talented as well, and they use that talent to create an exciting album that is full of mystery and darkness.
Rise
Holy Mother
In just over 40 minutes HOLY MOTHER have impressed me more than I would have thought possible.
Circles
Vicolo Inferno
VICOLO INFERNO. That last word got me hoping that the music of this band would have some oomph to it, a certain kind of eargerness and a sharp edge that would have me sitting on the edge of my seat, whilst tapping my foot and banging my head. Even when I found out that the band is a pure melodic Rock/Metal combo I had hopes of a very positive outcome of this review.
The Dystopian Chronicles Vol. 1
Warhog
WARHOG hail from Dallas in Texas, USA, and make a brand of Heavy Metal that includes a lot of Groove. And it is a combination that is quite feasible, very much trendy at the moment.
Embers
God is an Astronaut
One definition of “embers” is “slowly dying or fading emotions, memories, ideas, or responses still capable of being revived,” and I believe that definition is met with the music on the album. I have always maintained that instrumental albums are harder to digest for the average listener, but if you let the combination of various emotions on the album in, you will feel their beauty, no matter how sad it is at times.

And Michael Schenker is back, and this is one of the best releases of this ear!!! BUY IT AT ANY COST!!!!

Stagazer
Crypt of Reason
This cross between Doom and Death Metal was good, but could have been a bit better with just a bit more dynamism and shifting sounds. I like the use of synths here and there, but they could have had a stronger presence, augmenting the sound more. If you are into Doom and/or Death Metal, I would recommend this.

Under the Shadow of a Foreign Sun
Piah Mater
There is a lot of depth as well as many things to explore on the album. Their musicianship is excellent, and they put a lot of thought into the songwriting. I feel like they are only one or two big melodies away from a breakthrough album however, and I look forward to what they can do next.
