Burning Bridges
Lars Eric Mattson
Wow, another great Melodic Rock release offered by Lars!!!
Edifice of Vicissitudes
Iniquitous Savagery
The potential of this Brutal Death Metal quartet is amazing. Be prepared for the massacre!
Haunting Charnel Grounds
Ifrit
This is a fine first coming from these Death Metal killers from New Zealand.
Nyx (Hymnejä Yölle)
Horna
Wow, what a great Black Metal release, showing the band at its peak!
Überkill
Barathrum
The Finnish Black Metal legend is back with another killing release!
Moth Eater
Ruff Majik
South Africa for the win!
Blight Privilege
Nachtmystium
Although one could describe the album fairly loosely as Black Metal, it’s clear that Blake has his own vision of his music, and it takes all kinds of tangents, but also ones that make sense in the scheme of the album. It’s a testament to Blake and his hand’s vision for their craft.
At Death’s Gates
Slechtvalk
At its base, I think it’s smart to call this Black Metal, but there is so much more going on. The veteran bands knows how to seamlessly blend many other styles of Metal into their aggressiveness, which includes Death, Viking, and Symphonic notes. They also prove to be masters of their trade, and excellent musicians. This album will definitely please their die hard fans, and gain them some new ones.
Loved By None, Hated By All
Lifesick
This is neither here nor there, but I hear mostly Hardcore music from this band, albeit with some of the music rooted in Death Metal. My biggest concern, besides the vocal style (and that’s a matter of taste after all), is that many of the songs sounded too similar to one another. Did the band succeed at a crushing sound? Absolutely. Beyond that? Not too much.
Religious Disease
Disarray
Good Thrash Metal from Sweden.
Stormheart
Old Wainds
This wasn’t a bad album by any stretch of the imagination, but following five previous albums, the band didn’t challenge themselves enough. They clearly have talent, and a penchant for the darker side of Black Metal, but they rested here.
Insect Politics
Misanthropic Aggression
I really enjoyed this album. It has a dank and dark quality to it that, combined with its innate energy, just got me up on my feet and made me feel like breaking things, as many thing as I could find. Strangely, I also wanted a shower after listening to it, it was that dirty.
Fimbulvinter
Brothers Of Metal
This is the Melodic Viking version of MANOWAR and SABATON with just about every sort of Metal thrown in when appropriate. And even though it goes over the top on a regular basis, I just can’t stop listening to this.
Happy
Oceans
OCEANS is classed as Modern Metal by us at Metal Temple. When you look at the Metal Archives site it says that the band plays Post-Metal/Metalcore. I have to say that they are both right about what these musicians from Berlin in Germany and Vienna in Austria are producing on “Happy”.
Progressive Obsoletion
Violent Definition
Let’s take the bull by the horns; this is good stuff! These Greeks know how to play write, play, record and release Thrash Metal.
Only the Stars Know of my Misfortune
Isleptonthemoon
“Only the Stars Know of my Misfortune” captures a potent fusion of light and darkness, expertly balancing the weight of despair with moments of resilience that feel like a defiant ember in the shadows. This album isn’t content to simply linger in melancholy or anger; instead, it persistently shines through, never letting the darkness consume it. It’s an experience of hopeful endurance and raw honesty, portraying resilience as not just an act of survival but as a quiet, steady courage.
Wormtales
Carnosus
A disgusting display of melodic thech death in all the right ways hailing from Sweden
Gothron Verses Fartak
Gotho
Listening to the album is like wandering into a time machine, but your destination is neither the past nor the future, or maybe it’s both? Their songwriting is peculiar, but their musicianship is excellent. For me, this album is in the same neighborhood as OZRIC TENTACLES, but it still presents a very uncommon listening experience, and one that I believe you should all try once.
Dead Planet Exodus
Deserts Of Mars
Stoner Metal madness.

The Spiral
Citizend
It was hard to gain a full scope of the band of their music through only five songs, but I think I got the general gist of things. There are all of the elements that the band mentioned in their biography, and they are blended well. I also like that there is a bit of mystery to the album as well, almost like you aren’t getting the full story.
Vértice
Sinistro
SINISTRO’s “Vértice” isn’t the most uplifting album on the planet, but sometimes to get over your melancholy, you need to get immersed in it . . . or at least express it and feel it as it ebbs out of you. That’s what “Vértice” is like, one big therapeutic purge.
An Chailleach
Joy Shannon
“An Chailleach” is a fairly subdued endeavor across a very long stretch of terrain. Some interesting guests, but they fail to add much energy. If you are a die-hard Joy Shannon fan, then you must partake. If you’re just looking for Pagan Folk, you can probably find something more interesting.
Futility of the Flesh

TAKING THE HEAD OF GOLIATH is a brutal death metal band from Minnesota who formed […]
The Final Element
Veonity
All in all,
VEONITY
’s “
The Element
,” isn’t reinventing the wheel or anything for the genre but they do exemplify it in the very best ways. If your taste for metal is for something that is definitely heavy but extreme, this album needs to be on your radar. A good time is guaranteed to be had with this album.
Reflections of Execrable Stillness
Avtotheism
The disgusting sulpherous atmospheric dissonance coated in the putrid brutal technical death that forge a vile unforgetable sound
High Hopes on the Rocks
Rimbacher
This was an excellent album. Of course, the band isn’t trying to recreate the wheel, but the album is honest, and it has a lot of energy. In the end, it just makes you feel good, and isn’t that the point of music in the first place?
Skullblast
Assassin
“Skullblast” has everything one would expect from a Thrash Metal release: pace, aggression, tight riffing, and cool lead guitar solos
Of Love And Sorrow
Lay Of The Autumn
LAY OF THE AUTUMN deliver an interesting debut album, which is somewhere in the middle between symphonic Metal and Power Metal, Traditional Power Metal vibes, orchestrations, and keyboards, all led by versatile vocals are prominent album features
Veils of Illumination
Virtual Symmetry
This is another fantastic album from these seasoned musical veterans. Perhaps what impresses me most is their ability to always look forward when composing a new album, and this one is no exception. They have the perfect blend of melody, depth in songwriting, and out of this world musicianship.
Lost Tapes Vol. 2
Trapeze
What makes TRAPEZE so impressive is the fact that without exemption every musician associated with or playing on the songs is a world class one. It doesn’t matter who was playing, Mel Galley set the path and the rest would follow, whilst still being allowed to put their own stamp on the parts they were playing.
Invasion II
Invasion
“Invasion II” is a very good album, from start to finish, with good musicianship and very good songs.
Blissful Death
Xenotheory
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good album. The band is talented for sure, and there is something to be said about their uncompromising commitment to their craft. I get that their mission on this album was to deliver aggression, and that they have accomplished. But even within the confines of the genre, there is room for some variation and more personal touches.

Adventures in Anhedonia
Nine Stones Close
Take a deep look at the album cover to unlock some of the secrets within. It’s a head shot of a man with black eyes and an expressionless face amidst the bright, vibrant lights of a city. Someone who feels alone, perhaps disenfranchised. Whatever his pain is, it is real, and the songs reflect that, in melancholy, questioning, and anguished tones.
