Constellation of Endless Blight
Festergore
O good Death Metal release, but the band can do better than is shown on it.
Iriath
Arysithian Blade
A fine first coming from this Greek Epic Heavy Metal act.
Landhaskur
Dewfall
DEWFALL
’s “
Landhaskur
,” is a stunning album that mixes it up with a large variety of unorthodox approaches to black metal without sacrificing any of the genre’s more traditional elements. Highly recommended.
Necrolution
MASSACRE
Unless you are an alien from another planet, I doubt MASSACRE needs an introduction. Formed […]
The Festering Dwellers
Shrieking Demons
“
The Festering Dwellers
,” is a stunning debut album. Every song across its 10 track, 40 minute runtime is chock full of memorable moments and offers many reasons to revisit each and every one of them again. 2025 just started and the bar has already been set high for death metal!
HIERARCHIES
HIERARCHIES
If you can live through this tangled everseration put to music,
HIERARCHIES
’ self-titled debut is a banger of an album that is technical without being pretentious and flashy. Recommended.
Demonolatry
Abbhorration
Unapologetic display of raw aggressive old school death from Norway
Catastrophic Reconfiguration
Molder
A torrent of raw aggressive old school death from the upper midwest
Dust of the Human Shape
Ghost Atlas
As a music consumer, if you don’t slow down occasionally and look around, you can easily miss albums like this. It’s a simple album in terms of instrumentation and vocals, but it is so effective at waking up the inner self that you have choked down so far you never thought it was possible. Forget labels, just leave all your musical conventions at the door and explore “Dust of the Human Shape” with the kind of innocence and wonder that you had as a child.
Draw Blood
Svartijern
This wasn’t a bad album per se, but besides the heavy bass notes, it didn’t offer much originality to the genre. In today’s market, that is one thing that bands just have to be able to do…either that or be absolute masters of their trade.
My Ghost
Crest of Darkness
CREST OF DARKNESS is a black metal band from Norway, who formed in 1993. Their […]
Sirens
Moon Wizard
Pro tip for this album: Headphones are a must. And not that crappy pair that came with your phone—I’m talking noise-cancelling, over-the-ear bad boys that will immerse you in the liquid smoke that is MOON WIZARD.
Birth of Terror
Metal Riot
“Birth of Terror” is an eight-track scorcher that testifies to the band’s passion for creating distinctive metal.
A World In Darkness
Lurking Terror
Unapologetic raw death that festers from within the city of angels.
Towards the Nightrealm of Orlok
Order of Nosferat
From Bandcamp, “Towards the Nightrealm of Orlok” will be out on December 25. This album […]
The Skies Above Eternity
Fellowship
All in all, I didn’t hate
FELLOWSHIP
’s “
The Skies Above Eternity
” but it’s not really my cup of tea either. This might be an ok introduction to metal that is catchy and to the point but for hardcore power metal fans, this isn't going to hold much interest.
Inner Self
In We Fall
Good first album from a band created 3 years ago.
The Next Level
Timson AOR
Timson AOR is a group comprising of two multi instrumentalists Mark Timson and Lukky S. […]
The Power Of Money
Marchello
A mixture of AOR, Hard Rock and guitar shredding Melodic Metal featuring the virtuoso guitarist […]
American Metal
Belial
Belial are without doubt one of the finest bands of New York's Thrash / Speed […]
Burn In Metal
Violentor
"Burn In Metal” is very raw and aggressive Speed Metal with Thrash Metal elements. The album sound is a very monotone with little versatility and hardly any technicality
Blood Vultures
Jewel Throne
“Blood Vultures” is a promising debut album. It offers modern Thrash Metal including a few Groove Metal and progressive elements as well as a few Rock twists
A Circus
A Circus
A Circus is led by Luca Federici which draws influence and inspiration from legendary & […]
Reseed
Residual Self
Although this sound is not my usual cup of tea, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the album. The music is simple, but its groove is quite catchy, and the band combines the best of what both Punk and Hard Rock have to offer. Hop on this ride and just enjoy the journey.
Eternal Cycle (single)
Genus Ordini Dei
Another great Melodic Metal band from Italy.
The Heart of a Collapsing Star
Grimaze
This was a good album, with an impressive display of musicianship, but if I point to one piece of constructive criticism, it would be to add some more variety and flavor to the already strong base of songs on the album, or maybe vary the vocal delivery. Either of these two things would augment the album.
Altering Fates and Destinies
Loudblast
Wow, thre French Death Metal division is back for a ruthless attack! Surrender to it! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Until the Heat Dies
Fire Action
Wow, whata great surprise is heard on this Finnish quartet first full-lenght!
Celestial
Dying Grotesque
If you want some Old School Death Metal, this band is what you're looking for. Enjoy it!
Necrotic Flesh Bacteria
Cryptic Brood
The new release of the German Doom Death Metal trio is truly sick! What are you waiting for?
Misère de Poussière
Conjonctive
This Deathcore sextet is up to bring some surprises on this full-length.
Exit: Reality (Reissue)
Asphyxia
A fine reissue for this full-length of one Belgian Thrash Metal act that had to go against the tide.
Post Mortem
Subway To Sally
And after rumors about the band's end, here they are with a greaty Folk/Medieval Metal release!
Land Of Witches
Dark Embrace
Good Metal from Spain.
Wrapped in White
The Man And The Abyss
There is just something about the darker side of life that seems worthy to explore, but its hidden doors, passages, and secret rooms are areas that are locked away in your subconscious for reasons. This album beguiles you to open them, and promises no pain, but the warning in your head tells you otherwise, and you had better let sleeping dogs lie.
Astral Sands
Novaruptra
What struck me most about the album was the deep levels of emotion throughout each song. It blended Alternative Rock with some Metal leanings, and even some subtle Progressive elements, and was a pleasurable listening experience for me.
