Stand and Deliver
Giant
This was a good album, and it exceeded my expectations. Was the original magic still there? No, nor should you expect that, and it was still enjoyable to listen to. There wasn’t that “ah-hah” moment for me however, or that big catchy song. Still, it was good, and it was honest, and they are excellent musicians as a collective.
Before the Dawn
Sith'ari
Overall, this was a solid album. Although it was relatively short, many of the aggressive passages were also coupled with somber melodies, creating an unforgettable listening experience.
The Offering
Sylvanshine
This album strikes an equilibrium between the serrated aggression of Black Metal and the haunting pull of melody. It proves that melody in Black Metal doesn’t have to dilute its power. On the contrary, when used with intent and artistry, it can sharpen the edge, deepen the wound, and make the darkness all the more profound. In a genre that too often prizes purity over evolution, it’s a reminder that melody doesn’t weaken darkness — it gives it shape, and, sometimes, meaning.
The Program
Brkn Love
This is honest, good tasting, and genuine Rock and Roll. 12 songs however were two or three too many in my opinion, especially considering how many of the songs were similar to one another. If he can crack that nut, there is no reason that he can’t go far in music.
Homem de Barro
Hate Embrace
The Brazilian Death Metal masters are back with a very good 2-songs Single.
Landkrieg
Scalpture
A very good German Death Metal act that uses the classic outfit of the genre with some new elements
Diabolical Bloodlust
Flagg
If you need a dose of Finnish classic Black Metal, this release is for you!
Techtalitarian
Eschaton
Be prepared to have your bones stomped flat as this Technical Death Metal release plays!
Black Sword Thunder Attack
Black Sword Thunder Attack
A very good new band of Epic/Heavy Metal from Greece. Be welcome!
Animal Ritual
Ancestor Of Kaos
Wow, this release surprises for a great mix between Black Metal and Thrash/Black Metal!
Totalitarian Black Metal
Ad Hominem
And the legendary French Black Metal act is back with another very good release.

Destination
Crematory
This was an enjoyable listening experience, although 12 songs did wear out their welcome just a bit. Many of the songs were catchy, and I love the use of electronica with the dual vocal style. You have to take into consideration the sheer amount of albums that the band has released and how long they have been around. I’m sure this new album will please current fans and probably win them over some new ones also.

Reverie
Lera
Albums like this always fascinate me, because it is one that takes the path off the main road into the cover of the forest. Even after two listens, I wasn’t able to fully unravel its mysteries. The beauty of Post Metal and Post Rock is that you never know what you are going to get. This album spends a good deal of time resting in the shadows, and I would have liked to have heard some sharper contrasts, but take a dive and see what it does to you.
All We Have is Never
Holy Scum
That closing line of “we can spend a lifetime 24/7 together having shared experiences but living separate realities” really sums up the album well. This is very niche in its approach, and it probably won’t win over many new fans. I can see them having a strong cult following however, but the album, at its basic level, will probably be too strange for most folks. I at least appreciated the avant-garde approach.
Confessing Darkness
Imha Tarikat
The album was good. It swam in the swamps of despair, and rose to the peaks of mountains fueled by its anger. The musicianship was strong, but it could have used a little more diversity, especially among 11 songs. Too many of them had a similar sound.
Beyond
Moonlight Haze
“Beyond” is a smart mixture of modern, symphonic, and Power Metal elements with a focus on a delivery of easy-to-listen, anthemic songs embedded in a catchy melodic framework
Seventh Sadistic Serenade
Fatal Embrace
“Seventh Sadistic Serenade” is a traditional Thrash Metal delivery with all elements that we all love so much: fast and aggressive tracks, flesh-ripping guitar riffs, crushing basslines, and excellent lead guitar solos
Age of the Void
Under Ruins
This is not an album that can be appreciated in one run, not because it’s overly complex, but because the songs are teeming with ideas and they’re all so wonderfully executed that it takes a couple of listens to fully appreciate everything that is at play.
Himmelkraft
Himmelkraft
The choice to depart from the typical Sonata Arctica style demonstrates Tony Kakko's desire to explore new musical horizons, resulting in a work that is both bold and personal. With "Himmelkraft," Tony Kakko succeeds in delivering a rich and diverse conceptual album that will appeal to both longtime fans and new listeners.

Songs of the Shaman
Nytt Land
Always spellbinding with their raw and earthy spirit, Natalya and Anatoly again deliver an entrancing performance with “Songs of the Shaman.”
I Like It
Fuzzriders
Track-by-track “I Like It” is consistently good. In fact, I quite like it.
Impermanence
Thraeds
This was a good album, as well as an introspective listening experience. The skies stayed in various shades of grey throughout, never giving in fully to the darkness, but also not offering many peaks of light. In many ways, it’s one person’s take on this thing called life.
Colonize
MoldEra
It’s a fairly straightforward Stoner Doom album for me, and one that doesn’t distinguish itself from the veritable sea of similar bands out there. It was a lackluster listening experience for me.
Coda
Novelists
What unfolds over the course of this record is a compelling balancing act between sonic brutality and melodic triumph, a hardened shell cracked open repeatedly by moments of sweeping beauty and unforgettable hooks. What makes this record so powerful is its commitment to memorable moments. Even amidst weighted beats, harsh vocals, and jagged guitars, it’s the melodies—those carved-out, sky-reaching moments of clarity—that give the album its staying power. And they’re not just good. They’re colossal.
Verminateur
Animalize
Metal from France is often Gojira (and for me, Scarve). If you're not, are much […]
Where Light Fears to Descend
Crust
This was a fantastic album from start to finish. CRUST’s brand of Black Metal incorporates elements of Doom and Post, and whips them into a product that that traps your soul in the abyss. Despite some flickers of hope, the story is encapsulated by that weight of suffering they talk about.
I Welcome Thee, Eternal Sleep
Opia
Overall, this was an excellent album, and both the clean and harsh vocals walked hand in hand throughout. The picture they painted was one of fading greys…almost like an endless month of rain where no sun peeks through the clouds. It can weight on your psyche, and If you let it, it can slowly bury you. It’s an album that is rich in agony.
Reqviem for the Oppressor
Xenos A.D.
Wow, this release from this Italian Thrash Metal furious trio is really great! Bang your heads!!!
As Above, So Below
Shadow of the Talysman
A good first coming from this North American Thrash Metal act that has an aggressive outfit with good melodies.
Return to Dust
Refiner
A fine mix between Deathcore, Industrial Metal, Groove Metal and other modern tendencies can be heard on this release.
About Rock and Roll
Hyena
A good Heavy Metal act from Peru, but they must evolve things, especially on the production.
Genesis of Decay
Godless
A good Death Metal EP, but this Indian act must evolve a bit more.
