Eternal Rebellion
Decadence Incarnate
Wow, what a great mix between Melodic/Technical Death Metal with Thrash Metal and Metalcore is herd on this EP!
The Resurgence Of Nostalgia
DeathTrophy
A very good Deathcore release, indeed.
Chamber of Deathlessness
Darkside Ritual
a ver good mix between Technical Death Metal and Black Metal, but a better sound quality is needed in the future.
Into the Horrible Depths
Cadaver Shrine
This Doom Death Metal band has potential, it's just a matter of using it.
Solitary Forest Necromancy
Azathoth’s Dream
A good Black Metal release, but this North American act needs a better sonority on the next coming.
Ethereal Blasphemy
Angel Of Damnation
It's a case of 'the-cover-isn't-telling-the-truth', because here you'll find a very good Doom/Heavy Metal release.
NU^L
Dead Slow Hand
I did find the album to be lethal, but not so ecstatic, and the production was still fairly lo-fi on the scale. There were some layers in the guitar work, but mostly, I hear FWOBM inspired music, and it just wasn’t able to break out of lift much off the ground.
The Epitome of Transgression
Incinerated
Overall, this was an excellent album. Not all Black and Death Metal has to be so simple, and INCINERATED prove that it can also be complex…that they can write songs well and with a considerate hand, and still pummel you to death with aggression and rage.
Sounds Of Eerie (Reissue)
Horror Of Horrors
The Old School Death Metal that is being played by HORROR OF HORRORS on "Sounds Of Eerie" is straight forward no-nonsense music without strange breaks, difficult rhythms or weird sounds.
Rust, Flesh and Dust (Reissue)
Horror Of Horrors
“Rust, Flesh and Dust” was not expected at all in 2017, as HORROR OF HORRORS weren’t active at that time. But after listening to this album, I must admit that I am glad that they did release this one, and that I am equally happy with VIC Records for giving this one a second chance.
Home
Patriarchs In Black
There are no bad songs on “Home”. PATRIARCHS IN BLACK have been able to keep ascending and get better with every album they do.
A Land Long Gone
Professor Emeritus
I find it very hard to believe that they are such a young band, because their performance on this album, as well as all the provided riffs, melodies, guitar solos and choruses, sounds so unbelievably fresh that you would think that this is a newly formed band, while in reality being one of the key players in the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal
Kharon
The Medea Project
Musically THE MEDEA PROJECT do just what I was expecting, which is mixing the Doom Metal elements with Sludge Metal parts and then dribbling their Gothic Metal gravy over all of it. And that does give me some very interesting songs and soundscapes that take just under 40 minutes on “Kharon”.
In the Glow of the Vatican Fire
When The Deadbolt Breaks
This album was uncommon, and even a bit strange. I appreciate some of the genre-defying approaches that the band makes, but other times, it seems like a personal twist on Doom. Anyone who likes dread would like this album for sure.
The King’s Eternal Throne
Goblinsmoker
Overall, you gotta love a band who presents their music in a straightforward fashion, and without the hint of pretention, because you know what you are going to get. That is the case here with “The King’s Eternal Throne.”
Blodsträngen
Blessings
This was a curiously dark album that explored many different genres of Metal…most notably, Doom, Sludge, Hardcore, and even some psychedlica. Through every song, there was a thread of hopelessness interwoven with the anger, and it leaves the listener unable to decide which emotion is more real.
Into Darkness
Orion
This is an album steeped in grief, alienation, and shadow, yet it refuses to wallow. Instead, it gazes unflinchingly into the abyss and manages to illuminate the tiniest flickers of hope buried deep within. It’s a testament to the human spirit—not triumphant, but resilient. For me, it’s a single ember glowing in the dark.
Clockwork Sky
Thomas Carlsen's Transmission
What this album lacks in length, it has the style and substance that come across grandiose and very multi-faceted. This is the perfect case that quality is often better than quantity.
Intoxicator
Acrolysis
Sure this opus is thrashy, loud, distortion feedback laden rock n roll music with an emphasis on groove; but with notable characteristics there that help set this apart from the stereotype.
V: Lamentations
Wytch Hazel
The album feels like a continuation, another chapter in their career and their pathway. It feels like a progression from ''IV: Sacrament'' yet you can see some elements from this album in this new opus. The story has not been finished and WYTCH HAZEL continue bringing their message through their music, transcending themes that are not for everyone yet not overdoing it no matter what.
Majestas
Sea Mosquito
This is black metal refined, not by restraint, but by vision — a record that fully embraces the genre’s chaotic foundations while elevating its terror through craft, atmosphere, and intention. It understands the genre’s roots in horror and uses that knowledge with purpose, and it knows where to press, how long to hold, and when to whisper. This is the sound of something ancient waking up and remembering us.

Fires on the Mountainside
Fer de Lance
The sophomore jinx has not hit them at the slightest and they deliver something different, something quite unique for a genre that has been stagnant for years on end.
Behind a Vision
Eternal Idol
They are straight to the point, nothing goes over 5 minutes, it's pull no punches in your face Metal. It's something that is not akin to the Symphonic Metal genre, so that's quite the departure from the usual standards. I felt it was a great way to stand out from any band in the genre, transcending maybe the future of the genre?

Vigarv is a twelve minute, four track assault from a three person collective carving their […]
Lorquin’s Admiral
Lorquin’s Admiral
LORQUIN’S ADMIRIAL is notable for its musicianship and Dawn Brown’s vocals. There’s some nice chemistry there.
Choke on This
Stereophobia
I can’t say STEREOPHOBIA has won me over, but they did get me to listen for more than an hour and more than once.
Mossbane Lantern
Sallow Moth
This album was definitely a collection of out of the box songwriting. Their musicianship is off the charts…somewhere deep in the pacific. Much of the music was razor sharp, cold, even sterile, but there were moments when the album breathed. This was a technical feat that you rarely come across anymore.
Six Three 0

What started as a creative project from five of Sweden's finest musicians quickly moulded into […]
Rift
Amphisbaena
This was a curious album, that felt a bit unfinished for me, and perhaps that is the point. The past and the future make up someone’s life, and that is a difficult, lengthy story to tell. In the end, maybe our lives don’t really amount to much, or at least, not as much as the story itself. I would love to hear more from the band.
Powers of Darkness
Thelemite
It's a solid combination, and THELEMITE is really a solid band. There's nothing too new in what we're seeing here, but it's damn good music.
Tatkraft

Sun After Dark is a project by Benjamin König from Germany. Benjamin König was a […]
The Battles I Have Won
Reflection
An album that feels refreshing and brings you to every corner of the Metal spectrum, yet feeling like something special even at the first listening.
Toujours Humain
Creatvre
“Tourjous Humain” is a searing slab of metal, grinding forward like a rusted machine coming alive in a storm, its engine built on distortion, repetition, and complex tasks. What makes this record more than just a wall of sonic abrasion is the strange humanity that breathes through its fractured surfaces. What’s most striking is how personal this mechanical monstrosity feels. For all its concrete and steel, this is an album about survival, and finding rhythm inside the noise, and letting yourself breathe even when the air is poisoned.
God of the Tribes
Kratornas
The music was energetic, and hyper, and I too don’t appreciate overly depressive music, especially in the Black Metal genre. Call this album unique, that’s for sure, and If you can deal with chaos and dissonance, this album is for you.
Venetian Dark
Pridian
“Venetian Dark” stands tall as a modern testament to Metalcore’s staying power: relentlessly aggressive, rhythmically precise, and shot through with just enough melody to add depth without softening the blow. This isn’t melody-forward metalcore. This is power-first metalcore, where melody exists not to soothe, but to sharpen the edges. It’s a reminder that the genre doesn’t need to compromise its aggression to be dynamic. It just needs to know when to let its claws show and when to let the blood drip.
