Wildness from Stockholm Sweden were formed in 2014 by drummer and song writer Erik Modin with Adam Holmström, Pontus Sköld and original lead singer Gabriel Lindmark. Wildness were signed by German Label AOR Heaven releasing their debut album in 2017 with Marcus Sjösund becoming a permanent member of the band during the albums recording. In 2019 the band parted ways with singer Gabriel Lindmark with Erik Forsberg replacing him in 2020.In late 2020 “Ultimate Demise” the 2^nd album was released with more success than the debut. Signing to Frontiers Music in October 2021 the band released 3^rd album “Resurrection” .Performing live Wildness have opened up for Pretty Maids, while festivals internationally have seen them share a stage with H.E.A.T. , Warrant and Vixen amongst other big names.

Razor edge riffs come through my speakers ,immediately grabbing my attention “Wings Of Fire” is a great start to this album a superb melodic melody, the simple but catchy melodic chorus, with a slick guitar solo. The melodic arena style rock just keeps coming with the first single release “Crucified” the mix is on point particularly Erik Modin's pounding drum skills the backbone of the track .”Broken Heart” is another melodic gem with a punchy melody and punchy chorus. ”Caught In A Moment” is very rich with synths which gives me AOR greats FM vibes, very pure, bright melody. The heavier tracks on the album the title track “Avenger”, ”Stand Your Ground” and “Eye Of The Storm” show some of the bands influences ,also originality heavier riffs & rhythm, faster tempo in places, with Erik Forsberg vocally turning it up a notch Accept and Malmsteen comes to mind after hearing these tracks. ”Poison Ivy” is a superb track with the song writing, melody that Wildness Sound. The production handled by Erik Martenssen on this album is excellent as you can expect from Erik whichever band he is working with he brings out the whole band in the mixed superbly. ”I'll Be Over You” is the power ballad of the album with some great vocals from Erik Forsberg and a superb guitar solo. ”Walk Through Fire” brings the album to an end a fast tempo ,superb energy and again a great chorus with some great guitar work.

This is a great album from start to finish, 11 superb tracks with all the right ingredients for a great AOR/Melodic Rock album. There's plenty of hooks, lush guitars, great rhythm and anthemic choruses which combined with the excellent production “Avenger” a very strong release for 2025.Wildness are a fantastic band and have delivered another highly recommended album which is an album that all AOR/Melodic fans need in their collection.
