WATCH YOU BURN is a French Metalcore band, born in 2017 in the city of Metz. The project was created around the love of extreme music and three basic notions: violence, emotion and groove, with different sounds between Deathcore and Djent. "All the Rage" is the band's second EP and contains five tracks.

"Taste of Ashes" leads off the album, with a thick and heavy Djent rhythm, and overtones of Deathcore. They have the heaviness side of things down pretty well, and the vocals are rageful with emotion. "All the Rage" opens with a slower rhythm, and some heavy accents, like bombs being dropped from the sky. The guitar work here ventures out a bit, which is a good thing, Akin to country-mates KADINJA and NOVELISTS, but without that overly melodic side. Still, this song is put together pretty well, with some moment of melody that keep it alive and moving.

"Frozen and Broken" is another track with whirling guitars and a heavy sense of rhythm. Although the focus is clearly on the groove here, they do let some melodies come through a little. The vocals are absolutely gut-wrenchingly angry. The mid-section is inhabited by a light pause from all the heaviness and it's a nice break. "Resilience" features a nice cadence completed by masterful guitar, bass and drum work. If nothing else, these guys are talented. Another pause at the half-way mark helps to break up some of the chaos.

"Visions" closes the album. It's like the other tracks, with intense vocals and tight instrumentation. And, it's the fourth track in a row with light middle section, bringing accents to the heavier passages. Overall, this was a strong attempt at fitting in with what seems like one of the more popular genres of metal these days, but also stood out just enough to mark it as their own. The have the chops, that is for sure. They just need to work on branching out a bit more with some more diversity to really set themselves apart, and not fall in line with the thousands of other bands out there with this same musical vision.
