This is the brand new band of Swedish axeman Bjorn Eliasson (ex-CLOUDSCAPE / DOCTOR WEIRD) that's fought under the Christian dark Progressive Metal white banner. A project that Eliasson has been hanging on to right after quitting his past band back in 2009. This project was formed in order to for Eliasson to find his own pathway both spiritually and artistically.

This album "His Blood Is Yours" is more personal than the past albums that he wrote for CLOUDSCAPE, but it's still a very open and enjoyable collection of smart compositions where beside his obvious talent for ambitious guitar works he also handle all the instruments.

He also tries, for the first time, to perform as a lead singer, sharing that task with an impressive guest list of friends-vocalists that includes Mike Andersson (CLOUDSCAPE / FULLFORCE / SILENT MEMORIAL), Thomas Bursell (SECOND HEAT), Bjorn Persson (DOCTOR WEIRD), and many others. I like to think of it more as a solo album than a one of the many Metal Opera in an overcrowded genre.

Suckers for the melodic Dark Metal bands out of Scandinavia as the excellent VENI DOMINE, the very underrated BEYOND TWILIGHT, the longtime forgotten ZOÏC or the more clearly Christian notorious DIVINEFIRE / GOLDEN RESSURECTION should grab this silver platter pronto, like if this was a sacred item.

By mixing brilliantly clean, operatic but also pitch-black singing in the best and clever way as for the fascinating "I Am A Ghost" song , that is one of the more interesting proof that originality still exist while using the antagonistic / opposite typical vocal combination contrast, to get something unique and not only the now, very common dual harsh vs. clean voice vulgar trick. The playing level through tracks like "R.I.P." or "My Darkest Hour" is also set very high as always in this kind of release from Sweden, as much as the technical and production end that is almost perfect but yet immaculate.

Once again Lance King (Nightmare Records' owner) shows to the world that he has great ears to sign impressive band / musicians that share his belief but also provide some amazing music like that particular one or the excellent German Pasqual's "A New Beginning" reviewed last month by your truly .
