VICE, a melodic rock, power/pop band coming back after almost 30 years! The band comes from Munich, Germany and released a new album called, "Veni Vidi Vice."  It was produced, recorded and mixed by Chris Limburg at lictoc studios in Munich and was released on November, 17th The first single & video for the song "Where Do I Belong?" was released in advance in Summer 2017. This is definitely the kind of tune you would hear on the radio, cruising, with the wind blowing through your hair. Featuring acoustics and cowbell. Who doesn't love cowbell?

"Veni Vidi Vice" kicks off with "Hot Summer Party" which is definitely a tune that is fun, lively and exciting. You know, the kind of song playing in the background at a huge house party with tons of beer and sex. Ya know? Like the 80s! This is a classic VICE track. Highly pitched vocals, with chunks of guitar. As "Veni Vidi Vice" progresses, the listener will notice that there is a lot of 80s and sleaze influence, with some Nirvana influence thrown into the mix. For example, "Open Eyes" has a WHITESNAKE/NIRVANA feel to it, in addition to "You Bother" which has some similarities to POISON.

I can only hope that the track "Only Love Can Heal The World" isn't serious and it is meant as a mockery. Because damn, it is awful! Extremely cheesy! "The Joker" is an upbeat, punk, lively cover of the Steve Miller's classic. Again, a lot of fun! "Turn It Up" is encompassed by sleazy guitar riffs and a groovy bass with an over abundance of synthesizers. "Veni Vidi Vice" is a fun record that is meant to be played in the background while having a good time, which is not necessarily a bad thing. And for me, it's blah, it's eh. Fun? Sure. Maybe? But that's about it.
