VERTIGO STEPS is the newest project of  Metal composer/lyricist Bruno A. (ARCANE WISDOM) from Portugal.
In this 10-track CD there's a big variety of musical styles from melancholic Metal to Post Rock gloom and from Heavy/Thrash riffs to progressive melodies. Personally I cannot focus when a CD has so many different attitudes and styles. This thing turns my brain into a musical pulp that runs out from my ears.

Yes, VERTIGO STEPS has good moments like The Gruesome Smile - which is a strong, Heavy/Thrash Metal piece - or the instrumental melodic piece Pain Inc., but the rest of the album didn't deliver my expectations. The production is really good, but you can expect nothing less when there are so many great guest musicians in this record like Daniel Cardoso (HEAD CONTROL SYSTEM, SIRIUS, OBLIQUE RAIN) on drums, Alexandre Ribeiro (BLEEDING DISPLAY, DESIRE, GROG, NEPHTYS) on bass, Niko Mankinen, Sophie (UNDERSTREAM), Rui Viegas (ex-ARCANE WISDOM), Stein Roger Sordal (GREEN CARNATION) and Andre Vasconcelos (ex-ARCANE WISDOM) on vocals.

It is likely that you will find your musical tastes in this album, but the rest of the songs might not interest you at all.
