All That's Behind
Vehement

At first I kind of got confused, since I thought this band was the US Death Metal act VEHEMENCE. No harm, since when learning about a new band something good may come out (well, not always). Let's see what can come out of these guys...
Italian, huh? I never had such a good connection to the Italian Metal scene, but there were some really few bands that saved the day. This four piece act in 2002 under the MORPHEUS moniker. In 2004 the band changed its name to VEHEMENT and thus we reach 2009 with the band's debut album being released through My Kingdom Music.
Thrash Metal, that's what VEHEMENT have chosen to play. The band unleashes a thrashing attack with frenzy guitars, relentless drumming and aggressive vocals, but I think we have heard such stuff before and maybe in better versions. Their sound reminded me a lot of bands like EXODUS, ACCUSER and the last works of ANNIHILATOR. Even though the band is not bad at all, it lacks of originality and I guess that some extra work could be done on the vocals. I pleasantly listened to All That's Behind but only for a few times since I got bored too easily.
It is only their debut album after so many years and line up changes, so I don't want to be too harsh on them. It is not that bad for a debut release and I hope that the guys will work and present a better result in their next album. Until then...
