U.D.O - Decadent album cover

As a music fan and journalist I had heard of Hard Rock legends U.D.O mentioned over and over again by different magazines and from my friends but never actually got round to checking out their sound until now. I was honored to interview the man himself Udo Dirkschneider about this release and was equally thrilled to review the latest release "Decadent".

As you all know U.D.O have been in the music industry for a number of decades meaning an impressive discography, touring all over the world and making an impact in the metal community.

Onto the latest release; this is my first experience of listening to this band and I have to say I was treated to some fist bumping beats, finger shredding solos and powerful vocals, these all fuse together to create beautiful tunage that provide a way to escape the stresses of life.

If you have read my previous reviews I usually pick a few tracks that stand out on the album and explain why; in the case of "Decadent" however each and every track stood out beautifully in their own unique way. From the captivating ballad "Secrets In Paradise" to the adrenaline fuelled "Untouchable" each song had a story to tell and it suited every mood.

It concludes on an epidemic scale with the track "Shadow Eyes". This is a treat for U.D.O fans and Hard Rock lovers alike that I highly recommend.
