Chapter IV
Twins Crew

Twins Crew were founded by the Janglov brothers from Stockholm Sweden in 2007,after the brothers had graduated with honours from the world famous GTT (Guitar Institute Of Technology).Their goal was to form a band which would have all the Heavy Metal elements of the greats like Maiden, Priest, Helloween and Accept just to name a few in turn showing the true face of Heavy/Power Metal. With two EPS “Twins Crew” in 2008 and “Twins Demon” in 2009 three studio albums “Judgement Night” 2011, “The Northern Crusade” 2013 and “Veni Vidi Vici” 2016.After changes to the bands line up over the years and a nine year hiatus Twins Crew return with album number four appropriately titled “Chapter IV”.
Twins Crew despite been around for 18 years are a band that I have never come across or heard of before, but better late than never I guess. The sound of bells tolling and the deep bassline start the first track “Choose Your God” with which I'm expecting something fast ferocious and heavy, granted its heavy ,lyrics like '”True Metal Is Your God” are hardly skillful song writing, very cliche and lack originality, vocally not great either, not a great start. ”Never Stop Believing” is next up, now that's more like what I want to hear fast riffs, fast & furious drums, pure power metal very much an improvement on the opening track. ”Living In A Dream” very much has that Iron Maiden aura about it those galloping riffs, melody, the drum pattern, the vocals have a great presence but not the presence like Bruce Dickinson has.
”Warrior Of The North” has fast tempo ,great riffs but the vocals and backing vocals lack the power and delivery to match the musicality. ”Fire” is your typical Heavy Metal track which never gets dated those distinctive drums, chords that fists in the air, headbanging beat and melody. ”Without You” a ballad starts well but when the song breaks the vocals see Andreas Larsson way out his depth its very strained and does not fit well at all, it sounds awful high up in the mix. ”Order 69” is more of a hard rock track than anything else and it's a really good track some cool vocals, guitar solo is great a catchy chorus great track .”Fighting For The World” brings “Chapter IV” to a conclusion it's very dynamic with some changes to the tempo in parts.
With “Chapter IV” there is some good tracks but a couple not so good tracks which were let down by some bad vocals. The six good tracks are great heavy/power metal tracks which I thought were good in every way but nothing special or go down in history as a classic power/metal album that will stand the test of time.
