To The Max! is a Heavy Rock band formed in Verona Italy, bringing together musicians with different backgrounds and long-standing connections. Alessandro Marchi on drums and vocals, Nicola Marchi on guitar and vocals, and Mattia Fraccaroli on bass and backing vocals grew up in previous projects that ranged from Thrash to Black Metal to Sleaze Rock, and led them to share stages and collaborate. In mid-2020, during the global lockdown, the three came together in the rehearsal room with a clear goal, to compose Heavy Rock tracks exploring different moods and influences while maintaining a consistent and identifiable sound. In 2021, after less than a year of rehearsals and with a home-recorded five-track demo, To The Max! began performing in pubs, live clubs, and festivals. In 2022, they recorded their debut album "Midnight Tea" self-released on CD and digitally.

Opening this album is the guitar driven "On N' On" which blends modern Hard Rock with touches of Classic Rock which can be heard, particularly with the distorted riffing & solo."Who" steps things up a notch tempo wise, with a twist of punk and alt modern rock to deliver a punchy & catchy track,"Apple Bite" is another guitar riffing driven number which has some appeal."C'Mon Move It" is very rhythm charged with this very strong deep groove bassline very prominent throughout which sounds cool, but the rest of the track is a bit weaker than previous tracks. The opening of "Dying Inside" has a darker heavier start, but I'm surprised when the pace kicks up to deliver another fast modern punk style track, before more darker shade again to break the tracks pace up,a bit of a strange arrangement, but different."Running" has some great bass runs, attitude tones in the vocals, with some distorted fast riffing and solid drum patterns,"Enjoy The Ride" is another track which has the same attributes as the former. The album ends with "Cancel" which has groove, but it just is the same as previous tracks,

"Two The Max!" took me a few listens to get into in all honesty. The album does not have enough variety for me,it's just a little bit too samey, although I find this to be the case, there are some good tracks on here that I did like.Nothing special for me just a mediocre album.
