This House We Built are a four piece band from the seaside town of Scarborough UK.They formed just before the country was forced to lockdown in 2020 due to the pandemic,so socially distanced writing sessions kept the quartet been creative .In 2022 they independently released their debut album which received rave reviews from Dave Ling (Classic Rock Magazine),Paul Gregory (Fireworks Magazine) and also from Danny Vaughan of Tyketto who Scott Wardell met by chance at a acoustic gig in Whitby UK with Scott handing Danny a thumb drive which had their album on. With Vaughn impressed at what he heard, this led to a support slot on Tyketto's 2023 UK tour with, them also recording a version of the John Farnham classic "You're The Voice" featuring Danny Vaughn.This House We Built have shared the stage with bands and artists such as Michael Monroe,Those Damn Crows,Eclipse and also done several headlining shows. With also several dates booked in for the last part of the year and 2026 (see their website for dates & ticket links) the guys are going to be busy on the live front in support of the new album.

"Broken Dreams" is the 3rd single from their sophomore album "Get Out Of The Rain" which is released again independently on 21st November.Andy Jackson takes vocal duties for this track which he did on the brillant "My Old Friend" from the superb debut album.Andy also wrote the lyrics for."Broken Dreams" with the lyrics reflecting about being trapped in a relationship,then finding the strength in the end to break free.Opening with some pounding drums,bold & heavy guitar riffs which are catchy also infectious,the chorus is earworm stuff which sticks in your head."Broken Dreams" is a well written with aggressive lyrics, with a strong solid vocal from Andy Jackson,backed by a strong rhythmic melody,solid bold guitar riffs which make this one hell of a track and single.The concept for the video is shown from a man's point of view trapped in a abusive relationship,finding the strength to break free to escape the physical and mental abuse lyrically & musically also visually strong & powerful.Unfortunately a relevant occurrence in this modern age.
