The Riven were formed in 2016 hailing from Stockholm Sweden with connections in London UK. Their musical styles are described as Hard Rock & Classic Rock of the 70's and 80's with early a Heavy Metal sound and just pure rock n' roll! The first album was self tilted and released in 2019 with the 2^nd album “Peace And Conflict” released in 2022.Both albums received glowing reviews so with “Visions Of Tomorrow” there will be some hype and buzz around it's release.

“Far Away From Home” has an impact with its simple rhythm a punchy opener some, with sweet guitar riffs along with those raspy vocals a solid start to the album. “Killing Machine” sees The Riven put the foot on the gas a more intense,hard hitting number,a cool melodic style mid track before ending explosively. “Set My Heart On Fire” along with “Travelling Great Distance” show the bands raw energy and attitude in the two tracks just over 3 minutes in length which show their 70's classic rock influences which include the likes of Whitesnake,UFO and Thin Lizzy.”Crystals” is full of groove with a great melody with a powerful vocal performance to match, “On My Mind Tonight” has steady rhythm which gets you moving ,the feet tapping with the dance floor calling,before some dreamy bridges,with short guitar solos have your mind drifting.”Seen It All” sees the tempo stepped up a really catchy number,an anthem which would made great radio airplay.”Visions Of Tomorrow” has to be the heaviest track on the album heavier riffs,melody and an immense guitar solo a great track”We Love You” is a great contemporary upbeat commercial rock track with some swagger and attitude.”Follow You” the final track finishes the album with great energy,classic rock style which reminds me a bit of The Who with the melody and style.

“Visions Of Tomorrow” is a solid album with some solid tracks of great depth and quality. Totta Ekebergh delivers some stellar vocals,backed by a band delivering high energy classic rock. An album which is worth a listen,purchase and appreciation. A strong release highly recommended.
