The Green River Burial

Having never listened to THE GREEN RIVER BURIAL before, this was a very quick introduction, with this being a two song EP. Hailing from Germany, they deliver an onslaught of Metal Core goodness. This is the epitome of Metal core in my mind, but with some interesting elements of their own creation. They have released one full-length to date, and I'm assuming this is just to tied people over until they get into the studio to record their next album.
"Armilus" is a song that, after quite a long intro, builds up to a thudding that is urging you closer to the growing maelstrom that surges ahead. Each song, although quite similar in style, has their own characteristics, with the second song, "Dajjal", mixing in some clean vocals and a cool swirling melody and some intriguing background sounds. There's plenty of keyboard use to add atmospheric sound providing some nice texture.
This is a good but very short introduction to these guys, and makes you want to go check out their previous album and look forward to their next release.
