Tezza F is a one man Power Metal band from Verona Italy formed back in 2006 by Filippo Tezza in 2006 (Silent Oath and Chronosfear),whilst he still playing and singing in an underground Power Metal band called Soul Guardian. Philippo felt the need to express himself more freely, free from limits or constraints making more longer and complex compositions in a more progressive & symphonic style. With the Tezza F project some demos were recorded in 2006 and 2008.However it was five years until the debut “The Message” saw the light of day. To date this one man band metal project has released two albums, with also one EP. ”Key To Your Kingdom” is the third album is based on the styles of bands like Rhapsody & Sonata Arctica (their early material),with also elements of Dragonforce.

“Fire Still Burns” is an up tempo start to this opus with an fast paced melody, aggressive in places with some emotional acoustic breaks during the track which did not really grab my attention from the start with a lacklustre chorus, ”Voices” which is a song about following your instincts to choose the right path in life, keeps up the fast paced momentum a lot better than the opening track ,more melodic touches with the synth & keys ,a strong vocal with a great guitar solo. ”Dead Roses” is more of a mid tempo track melancholic but also a dark element with great rhythm, with more keyboard involvement throughout the track, giving me the feeling the album has finally burst into life, a great track. ”Key To Your Kingdom” a pure Power Metal track is full of great melodies and harmonies, epic and majestic in nature. I can't help but think it reminds me of  Helloween “Keeper Of The Seven Keys” era also the other fore mentioned influences. ”Cold Rain” is about Philippo's illness he had for many years, his anxiety disorder and panic attacks and how he handled everything. Musically and vocally this track shines, the lyrics & creativity are really clever emotional with some dark elements to the track. ”Endless Night” is dedicated to his father he lost as a child ,a very sensitive and tender track which builds with some very powerful emotional moments musically & vocally. The best track on the album for me personally, definitely relatable for me. ”Moonlight Chant” is very much a nostalgic 90's inspired Power Metal track which has a epic but also a dramatic chorus, superb guitar runs with solo to match ,great synth touches too. ”For Death And Glory” is a track over 14 minutes long which is split into four parts telling us an account from a war commander and his army in the days before going to war ,during the war but the lucky also returning home. This track has everything some fast paced moments pounding drums ,with heavy guitars but also some more mellow moments with keys, acoustic  guitars ,A fitting way to end the album a very clever composition with great story telling.

“A Key To Your Kingdom” really didn't grab my from the word go. The first two tracks I thought were not the best I've heard, but then the album did burst into life. There is no doubt Tezza F is a very talented guy musically and vocally. ”Endless Night” is one of the best ballad style tracks I have heard so far this year, the title track “Key To Your Kingdom” is superb, with the “For Death And Glory” an epic piece of music. Power Metal fans this album is definitely one to add to your want list, or worth listening too.
