Templar - Knights of Nuclear Hell Decibelfucking the Charred Remains of the Christ album cover

TEMPLAR first released this album back in 2018, Independently. This one has been released on Cassette with Caligari Records.

"Decibel Tyrant" has the Blackened Thrash style start with some weird ass screams. The vocals are raw, frantic and effective. The tempo is set high and the melodies are all about the place. The melodies do seem to balance out somewhat after the first minute. The vocals are still a mix of VENOM, NAPALM DEATH and IMMORTAL all blended in together with the pace doubled. The melodies are raw and it gives the impression that the tempo is set to max because they can't do it any other way. This is not a bad thing.

"Flaming Metal Supremacy" starts very differently from an instrumental aspect, building up slowly until unleashing the same sort of tempo we heard previously. This one sounds more like KING DIAMOND, vocally than the others mentioned before. The melodies are still not controlled enough to balance them, but the anarchy plays well into how the tempo is set. Its almost like they have gone to old school BATHORY for ideas and mixed this up with KING DIAMOND and this is the outcome. Again, its not bad.

"War Lesbians" just sounds funny as a title. They have the same vibe as the previous song did. This one however, seems to be balanced out better and plays more fluidly into the insanity that is coming out. The only issue is that it is very much like "Flaming Metal Supremacy" and it doesn't have enough changed to even know it's a different song. It is still a decent song with good tempo and decent melodies being displayed.

"Templaric 女武侠" also keeps with a similar style that the last few songs have all had. Not much has changed but if it's not broke as they say. There is enough pace to keep it interesting. It is still batshit crazy, but tis effective. It is another song executed well, even if it feels like it shouldn't be.

"Renegade Templar of the Radiating Deserts" closes this album off with a slow start, more 80's tricks here, but sounding more of a Punk vibe to start. This is kinda kept up even with the vocals, but the longer the song does on the more BATHORY I can hear, which is and isn't a bad thing. We will never know what these guys sound like in an individual sound. The song has slowed the pace of the album down, but remains frantic and all about the place.

These guys a re nuts. Know that before going into much else in the album. Really feels like its 80's Black Metal in its early days, maybe that's what they were going for? The BATHORY and KING DIAMOND sounds are very easy to hear, but it blends into a sound of their own, even though you know it has been heard before
