STORM SEEKER is a German quintet of Pirate Metal formed in 2013. Riding the waves and singing songs about life on the seas, drinking, and plundering are all in store on Nautic Force, a 10-song journey around the world. This newest bounty was released on April 28, 2023, via No Cut Entertainment. The album opens with "Heavaway," the first of many sea shanties on this album. There is a distinct pirate/folk vibe here and throughout the whole album, The chugging guitar riffs have a nice heaviness to them and are offset by the keyboards and uncommon instruments used by STORM SEEKER, such as the hurdy-gurdy and recorder.

"Across The Seven Seas" is one of the sailing, voyage-based songs that take you on a journey over the waves and to new ports. "Bottoms Up" is the song about what you do when you get to the next port, drink and partake in pirate revery. The vocals are mostly gritty, though not fully harsh, from the male voice. Fabi brings a clean voice into play at times and the chorale of voices from the crew tend towards gruff, but not harsh. On the lighter end, "Bound To The Waves" has some darker tones, but the female voice draws it up into the light. This is the song about how the sea is a lifestyle, not just a job. In many ways, being in a band is probably similar, always away, going port to port and plundering the bars of every club played.

"Cannonthunder" is the track about surviving a battle on the open seas and living to tell the tale. This is the stuff legends are made of. "Rolling Home" is where the tale begins with the next generation of pirate taking that tale and spreading it far and wide in ports around the world, attracting the next wave of sea-faring sailors who will continue the lifestyle, keeping the legacy going. STORM SEEKER takes the pirate off the high seas and puts them on stages around the world, telling the tales and honoring the legacy. This album has more sea shanties than some other nautically-themed bands, giving them a purer claim to the title Pirate Metal. Some just like to wear the costumes, but this band lives to represent the legendary creature that is the privateer of old.
