Erol Sora was obviously born in the wrong year because his age looks about 30 while he sounds like that's how many years ago he should've been making music. There is for sure no one out there in this day and age making music of this sound without having been born around 1960.
Erol Sora is already an accomplished guitarist; you just probably didn't know it was him. He has played with former members of Black Sabbath, Foghat, Survivor, and Quiet Riot. Most recently he has been playing in the John Lawton Band. John Lawton is the former singer of Uriah Heep. Now Erol has decided to put together his own band and record a solo record.
Erol totally rocks throughout the entire album, kicking it strictly old school. The second track of the album is an excellent classic rocker, Guilty, which includes a totally ripping guitar solo. Now that I think about it, I am pretty sure almost every song on the album has a ripping guitar solo. His influences clearly range from Blue Oyster Cult to Led Zeppelin to Bad Company. His sound pretty much goes through all the classic Rock favorites. The chorus in the track Along The Way is so fricking catchy that it is just basically mind-boggling. Not to mention that this track contains three guitar solos (in case you didn't notice, I am a big fan of his solos). I also really enjoy the crunchiness of One Way Ticket - very rocking. Also the bass playing on this track is top notch; probably the best on the album.
If only Erol had been making music in the 70's or 80's then he would have been selling out arenas. Then they would have slumped in the early 90's and would be doing big reunion tours nowadays. I wish this awesome guitar player only the best.
