Sinlust - Sea Black album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: SINLUST; signed via M & O Music, hailing from the glory of France - performing Black Metal, on their 2nd album entitled "Sea Black" (released April 28th, 2017).

Since formation in 2002; the quintet in question have 1 album behind them "Snow Black" (released March 3rd, 2011), I'm introduced to their 2nd record entitled "Sea Black" (Sun Black next, anyone?). Black Metal is the ultimate grower for me next to Progressive Metal, that doesn't dismiss the fact that the sub-genre is an incredibly talented and worth experimenting. 8 blackening tracks ranging at around 01:00:49, the quartet deliver an intricately designed slab of solidified Black Metal madness. The opening track "Red Priestess" showcases chugging guitar riffs combined with an agonizing vocalization process, Chris In Lust constructively provides a savagely sinister tone that contributes to the Black Metal realm with utmost proficiency. Immediately, the riffs blast onto my soul like a battering ram - ultimately to engage me on a fiercely developed arrangement of profuse adroitness and finesse.

"Sea Conquerors" distributes more complex dexterity, as vocalist Firefrost demonstrates devastating distinctions with grunts, shrieks and menacing screams excelling with dominant supremacy. "Dawning Of The Volcano God" supplies with more prominent songwriting efficiency, as powerhouse dominions Infernh on drums & Rain Wolf on bass creatively unleash devilish tempos that reign with a thunderously primitive sound production. This is evident in the song "Cannibal Beast", the tone is just massive here. The technicality in the progression is enjoyably entertaining, as groovy breakdowns supply with an organic aesthetic in Black Metal history - the substance is experimentally dynamic and exceptionally raw, as the diversity explodes with unprecedented elements unbeknownst in this sub-genre. So far; I am stunned at the sheer quality that SINLUST have established here.

"Streams Attraction" is the next in line; opening with rhythmic guitar melody, until more chaotic mayhem pursues. About 2 minutes into the fray, the conceptual style builds up with vocals that almost sound like IMMORTAL/ABBATH's "Olve Eikemo" - only until now I've discovered this shocking revelation, and the mimicry is quite observant. "Sea Of Trees" begins with more furiously chunky riffs and groovy implementations that get extremely stimulating, mid-portion of the song sounds interestingly unhurried - until the haste paces with more coherent attributions of grit and speed. There are no immediate vocals in this one, yet I was headbanging all throughout this gem. "Trilateral Conflict" slows things down again with yet another acoustic introduction, supplying a dose of diverse variety of unparalleled instrumentation and musicianship. SINLUST construct a formula of unique characteristics that's delightfully rewarding for the listener.

Overall concluding "Sea Black" with the final song "Forgotten's Master" (being the longest song on the record at 9:42), the band offer an impressive array of very detailed Black Metal mastery while being enjoyably barbaric as well as sharp in execution. Even the finale had me excited to bang to this pretty much masterful record, all Black Metal enthusiasts must listen to this record - as well as all Metal maniacs looking for that extraordinary discovery.

...now I think I should listen to the 1st record in accordance to this rating.<
